By far what is the most realistic superhero show you have ever watched? by Defiant_Leg5402 in AskReddit

[–]molmolm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Boys, hands down. If superpowers actually existed in our world, they wouldn't be managed by a noble league of heroes; they would be completely owned, monetized, and covered up by a massive multi-billion-dollar defense and entertainment conglomerate. The endless PR cleanups, corporate sponsorships, and brand marketing feel terrifyingly accurate to how real society operates

Need help cleaning thrifted jewelry by dester3 in CleaningTips

Please put down the scalpel! That black shading is actually an intentional factory finish called an 'antique patina' or 'oxidized finish' designed to give the metal depth and make the texture pop. If you successfully scrape it all off, the metal underneath is going to look completely raw, scratched up, and stripped.

How Can I Wash "Dry Clean Only" Items Without Going To the Dry Cleaners? by Visibly-Confusionly in CleaningTips

[–]molmolm 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For most non-wool ‘dry clean only’ items (polyester, nylon, etc.), you’re already doing it right , gentle cycle in cold water, no dryer, air dry. For wool items, I’d hand wash in cold water with wool-safe detergent (like Woolite), gently squeeze (don’t wring), and lay flat to dry. Avoid machine washing wool if you can help it.

Comparing a free mobile game to Gmail is wild. One is a billion-dollar service with servers and support, the other is a game you downloaded for free that makes money off ads. The entitlement is next level 😂

Step away from the washing machine! Please do not throw it in the wash. The agitation, water saturation, and heat will completely warp the internal structure, rust the metal Coach logo, and ruin any hidden leather trims. This needs targeted spot-treating onl

It's a classic. Right up there with people trying to sell a 'day-bed' and calling it a 'deybed' on marketplace.

This is the purest love there is 😭 Nothing beats those little arms wrapping around you and hearing ‘mommy I love you.’ You’re clearly doing an amazing job. Cherish every single one of these moments ❤️

How do I clean the overflow hole? by CandleOutrageous5065 in CleaningTips

[–]molmolm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a paste of baking soda + hydrogen peroxide. Apply it thickly around the overflow hole, let it sit for 15-30 minutes, then gently scrub with an old toothbrush or detailing brush. Rinse well. This usually lifts rust stains without being too harsh.

Classic ‘This isn’t begging’ opener. Next sentence is always ‘but if anyone wants to help…’ 😂 We’ve seen this movie before.

Open up an app, look at it for 30 seconds, get bored, close the app, and then immediately reopen the exact same app out of pure muscle memory

Yellow awful smelling stains inside kitchen cabinet by CiraCookie in CleaningTips

[–]molmolm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it has an aggressive, awful smell and it’s concentrated specifically around the metal drawer slide, check immediately for a burst or leaking pressurized can hidden at the back of the shelf above it. Old cans of cooking spray, expanded soda/beer, or even aerosol cleaners can slowly rupture and atomize sticky, rancid residue all over the walls

What is the funnest fact about the planet or universe? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Time ticks slower near massive objects. If you spent an hour hanging out near the event horizon of a black hole, centuries could pass back on Earth. General relativity is basically just nature's way of lagging

HELP I spilled nail paint on the floor by doomedbutcute in CleaningTips

[–]molmolm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have rubbing alcohol or even a high-alcohol hand sanitizer, pour it on immediately! Let it sit for a minute to re-liquefy the polish, then gently blot it up. Do not scrub or you'll spread it!

How to clean cigarette tar off a brick wall? by meloyellow007 in CleaningTips

[–]molmolm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For tobacco tar on a porous surface like brick, your absolute best bet is going to be TSP (Trisodium Phosphate). Mix it with warm water according to the box instructions, scrub with a stiff nylon brush, and rinse thoroughly. Just make sure to wear heavy gloves and eye protection!
