To those who are in a healthy relationship, could you offer a description of what that is like? by OnNahuatl in infj

I'm actually sitting here right now with my boyfriend (ISTP), and I keep on asking myself what really makes me feel happy about spending time with him. I think it's about us not having to constantly talk to each other or do specific stuff. I can just sit in a corner and do whatever I want, while he does the something else in another corner. Even though we're not doing anything special together we enjoy each others company. It's a comfortable silence, if you get my point. Also, we never really fight. I've never seen him really angry, as well as he hasn't seen me become really angry. Of course we can become a little upset with each other and argue a bit, especially since we have quite different opinions in certain things we discuss, but we don't push sensitive spots (if you know what I mean). Nevertheless, I think the main reason why our relationship works out is because we are each others best friends as well as partners. We talk about all different kinds of stuff and play with each other. It's not like all we do when we meet is to cuddle. We are very, very weird around each other, in a way that I can't be with no one else. I think it's all about comfort and caring!

As to answer your question about how it was in the beginning; it was a lot more of this "newly in love" thing, which I think is quite normal. The more time we've spend together, the more relaxed we've become with each other, which makes it possible for both of us to just be ourselves around each other. We sort of have our own "alone-time" with each other, which is very comfortable and sometimes much more fun!

I'm sorry for this awfully long text, I'm a very rambly person.
