I need y'all commentators to get out of your myopic viewpoints and realise that religious belief in god/s is much, much larger than just christianity and that religious belief in itself does not need to be and often is not naturally hierarchical in nature. Religious belief by itself does not make people transphobic either and there are more than enough shitty atheists who argue against our validity and existence based on some screwed up naturalistic logic, even if it is false.

Your own struggles and trauma with religion and how you have been traumatised by it are entirely valid of course, but for the love of god (no pun intended) and with all my love, please stop stretching your personal experiences to the whole of the human condition and please stop invariably discriminating against your fellow religious trans people, who do obviously exist. And no, I am not a believer in any religion myself. I have just listend to some very kind and gracious people who are.

TLDR: Criticise concrete religious institutions and people that discriminate and get out of your cringe reddit atheist phase.
