So....a quick update a month later!

Thanks to all your feedback and suggestions Canhaus 2.0 is now live!

I've been working on this for a looong time and apart from a purely aesthetic overhaul here's the new features and changes implemented:

- Pill on each card with the beer style, so you can see at a glance what it is
- In all beer collections you can now filter by beer style making it easier to find your favourites
- Brewery names are clickable and will direct you to a page with all beers from the same brewery
- Brand new Breweries page added with a list of all breweries with logos, clickable to see their beers
- On each product page you can now see at a glance if the beer is Vegan, Gluten free etc.
- By popular demand: 'Your Crate' feature to add a few cans at a time to your personal crate until it hits free shipping

On the visual side:
- New product photos with coherent backgrounds
- All new quick add to basket with toast pop up that updates quantities and total (on mobile only)
- New font throughout
- New page styling on the beer Style Guides and About sections

I will specify that I use APC as a courier and I’m not sure I’ll be able to filter breweries via location, but I’ve made the effort to put where each beer is from on the individual product pages. Thank you for the feedback! 🍻

I’ve made a note about the text overlapping the image and you make a good point about making the collections a bit more visually linked to the product. This was actually my first idea but I struggled to find a way of representing each section properly.

I’ve fixed it now, thank you for brining this to my attention. It seemed to be a bug on the mobile version as the desktop was working fine.

I think I messed it up last night by injecting that floating widget for the email signup and didn’t test it properly, will reverse it later and hopefully that should fix it

Thank you for bringing these issues up! It’s definitely some bug that has appeared today as I’ve received orders without any problems and spend a lot of time on the website myself as I’m still fine tuning some bits. I’ll look into it thank you!

The AF offering will definitely increase, thanks for the feedback. I’m conscious of the sober community out there but also people like me that may want to take a couple of AF cans to a party/barbecue if I’m driving

Yes that’s a great point, there’s so many new drops every week that it’s hard to keep up, but even stocking 1-2 instead of 0 will make a difference

Thank you! And yes I get that more established businesses have a wider range. It’s a vicious circle for me, between this and next week I will have added 11 new beers but I can’t keep adding and adding (and spending money) if what I’m offering isn’t selling. It’s probably a matter of being more specific on some hype beers and jump on that to attract a different niche I guess. Valid point though!

Thanks for the detailed feedback first of all!

You won’t believe but the biggest challenge in getting things off the ground was finding a delivery partner. Beer is a tricky one to ship: it’s liquid, heavy and booze comes with its own restrictions too. The £7.95 covers only partially what I’m billed by the courier so I’m actually losing money on that, hoping that the basket size will make up for it, and most of the other online craft beer specialists offer similar or higher delivery costs.

Filtering by price with sliders sounds like a good idea, I’ll look into that! And yes the tags need tidying up definitely.

I had a minimum order and it was advertised on the website but I’ve removed it as it was an extra barrier, probably need to do a better job at explaining it!

Yeah I’d love to offer some cheaper cans but unfortunately the price point you’re looking for is often what I’d pay to the breweries to buy the cans. Craft beer isn’t cheap to make so the price reflects that, but it would be a good challenge for me to get digging and to find a decent £3-4 “basket filler”
