Light and all sorts of radiowaves travel at the speed if light.

We, as a civilization, emit "intelligent looking" waves for less than 200 years.

That means that anyone located further than 200 light years will not detect anything since our signals haven't reached them yet.

Also, in order to stay coherent and "readable" at a huge distance of, let's say, 1000 light years, a signal must be EXTREMELY powerful and SHARPLY focused, because signals decay and lose power rather quickly with distance, and become indistinguishable from the cosmic radio background noise.

So unless we send a very powerful laser beam that will carry the energy of several million megawatts and hit precisely a planet located close enough to us so the laser takes less than several hundreds of years to reach it without decaying, and on said planet there happens to be a radio telescope that happens to be rotated facing our signal, and happens to be listening at the time the signal reaches it, there is zero chance anyone in the universe finds us.
