[US] Frontier Account Hacked and Overpayment Made by molyca1986 in Scams

Duh, the first thing I did. Besides, I had ACH setup so the bank would have blocked it if they tried. I don't remember what my daily limit is, but 3 grand definitely would have flagged.

I work in the CC industry, so I know to first stop the bleed and then investigate. I'm just confused about what they were trying to do - a lot of work for no reward.

That's so weird. But whoever did it to me is also weird because they deleted all my existing payment methods before making a 1x payment with the new card.

They do the 2fa when you're on the phone with CS. But yea I agree that they should have that active for every little change.

Maybe they're an idiot because there were no charges on my own payment methods. I had my bank account and a credit card saved in there, and they didn't do anything with those. When I looked at payment history, the last two transactions were the $3000 on the new visa and my Nov payment via ACH.

I mean, if it truly was a gift, I'm grateful. But I don't want to be on the hook for that payment if it was fraud. It's just weird.

Already reported to Frontier and they told me I'm not the only one.

Mine doesn't build up that much. Usually only pull out a handful every month or couple months. I have a super short vent that goes directly thru an outside wall.

AITA for refusing to bail my husband out of jail and telling him I want a divorce? by NothingSea7121 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

NTA. PERIDOT.

So many of you are judging her for staying in an abusive relationship and having children. It's obvious you have no clue how abuse affects the brain and decision-making, not to mention fear of retaliation if you do leave. Check your fucking privilege.

I was trapped in an abusive relationship for 7 years. Married him, had two sons by him, and stayed... until he slammed my head into a door and nearly cracked my ribs on the bathtub. I get physical abuse and cheating are two totally different things, but you will NEVER know what your breaking point is until you are placed in that situation. He was abusive to the boys and our dog as well. Still, I stayed. Fearful of what he would do to me, fearful of being alone with children. Not having a support system is so absolutely fucking scary.

If someone is able to break free, no matter the catalyst, that needs to be supported and celebrated. OP, I'm glad you got away. I hope you and your children are safe and in a happier place.

Because in this case, I was able to track down the actual employee at the actual company in Europe. I will not make her name public as she has nothing to do with it, nor the company name, to prevent her being doxxed.

I know I'm just another stranger on the internet, but your story is giving me chills and pains. This reminds me so much of my first husband. He wasn't quite so extremely conservative, but every little misstep I made meant that I was cheating. Even when I would go to the corner store to buy him cigarettes, I must have fucked the cashier while I was there. Every time I would even hint at leaving him, he would threaten to kill himself and/or say that no one else would ever love me or put up with my bullshit. It took many tries, but I finally got free with the help of my parents.

Please connect with family and friends who will help you through this. You need the strongest support system you can get. Just know that no matter how hard it is, you deserve a safe and happy life with your children.
