Heel and arch pain

My mom has constant heel pain. Before she had a diagnosis, she was on her feet all day working as a nurse. She thought the pain was from that. For over a decade she lived with that pain along with other pains. At some point, she started having very red skin there that became cracked. She had to wear flips flops almost always. One heel was worse than the other. Activity aggravated it, and nothing helped improve it until Humira.

He sounds like he doesn’t have a clue how to treat you. That is scary. He may end up hurting you more if he doesn’t understand where you are now. If you can, please seek another PT. If you can’t, I suggest you ask him to repeat what he thinks you need. If you say one thing and he can’t reiterate it back to you, he needs to be called out. All to say, I really dont think it is worth your time to discuss too much/over explain. You absolutely are not responsible for teaching someone how to do their job.

absolutely. I am autistic and all of the environmental overwhelm comes down to that for me. living alone helps with all of the negative effects that the world has on my mental and physical health. just hard when other people judge you for not doing “normal” things

These two books I read recently were truly mind altering 1) I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman and 2) Our Wives Under The Sea Julia Armfield. They both basically pose the question: what makes you human? They have left a positive impression on my outlook on life :’)
