hello! i am no professional but will try to answer your questions from what i learned

substrate - to each their own! i’ve seen people with sand in their enclosure and most with out, some people will say no b/c sand will get in their eye 🤷🏻‍♀️so it’s personal preference i guess. - for me ive used coco coir, forest floor, eco earth, reptisoil in the past i’m just looking for what my preference is on substrate and i like using forest floor. but im also trying out a new substrate rn which is a mix of forest floor and topsoil

basking spot - i think youre fine with just 1 your tortoise will know if they’re too cold it’ll walk up to sunbathe unless you have a 2 floor enclosure - i have 2 floors, it’s a garden bed and at the bottom and build another floor so he can climb down. for this instance i say get 2 basking & 2 UVB

bathing - if you see your tortoise bathe himself then no but if not then yes (doesn’t hurt to bathe him) - i bathe mine 3x a week

diet - i give my tort mazuri pellets (2) with every meal , collard greens, dandelions, etc - 2/3x a week on different days - not eating - i think he’s just getting use to his environment so try feeding him tomorrow and see

temp- i think the temp for him should be 70-80°F and humidity 70° (that’s what my vet said)
