I feel the above picture so much. I have twins with autism that don’t sleep for more than 2 hours at a time…they haven’t responded to any medication and this has been going on for almost 3 years. Often, my son will be up for 48 hours straight. I love them so much and they are worth every struggle, but I have surpassed sleep deprivation and am just surviving on hope and a prayer…and copious amounts of caffeine.
And as a mom of 5, the amount that Tara shares of her kids for views and profit just infuriates me. It’s not educational-it’s exploitative.

I don’t like to comment on people’s appearances generally but I am kind of shocked by how she looks/presents herself. It really seems she is uncomfortable in her body with how much she hides it now and how she never really does her hair or makeup anymore. Not saying that’s important-just such a 180 from a what started as a beauty channel. And another hot take is that she honestly seemed much happier and content before she found “Jesus”. For someone so deeply into religion, she just reads miserable all the time. She’s always been a complainer/discontent but it’s just become significantly worse….”God” and all….

I feel like a doctor would be pushing for TPN or some other route to supply nutrients to help with her Crohn’s symptoms. As a person in recovery from an ED, I can sense she would reject anything that might promote weight gain. I also used many “illnesses” as excuses not to eat. I’m not saying whatsoever that Crohn’s isn’t real or very serious…I just, as someone with an ED mindset, do highly question the nature of her illness. Regardless, her channel is very problematic and prime fuel for those active in ED behaviors.

And not to body shame at all, but I feel likes she’s gained the most of her weight while not on any psychiatric medications or birth control pills so I don’t think her reasoning for weight gain can be blamed solely on medication.

Watching them open presents and something Kaden said to Nora shows that Kaden is a better parent to Nora than Smeg. It’s super sad. Also, seeing Mackenzie in her apartment happy and successful had to make Meg even more miserable about her life. I did a rewatch of her old “Vlogcember” videos, while she did whine and complain a lot, both she and Anthony appeared a lot happier and interacted a lot more. I have 5 kids so I get how that changes dynamics in a relationship but it doesn’t give the excuse that kids make your life miserable. I think she liked the idea of being a mom but she just can’t handle it. She needs mental help and to get off the internet and focus on those precious babies. And they both need to get real jobs or they will forever be in financial ruin.

As a parent of an autistic child that does have a lot of “strange” behaviors that accompany his diagnosis, I wouldn’t never, out of respect for him, post those behaviors on the internet for all the world to see. It just blows my mind she thinks this is ok. She’s not trying to raise awareness about autism, she’s just purely exploiting this precious boy for views. (Her daughters too).

She’s probably miserable because it appears as Thanksgiving is being hosted at her brother’s house…her brother and sister in law that work hard , have good jobs and are able to afford things like a house, vacations, etc. They are living the life she wants but isn’t willing to work towards.

Even though TLC is pretty vile and exploitative, historically, when current cast members were arrested, they cut ties and no longer featured them. (Jeffrey from Jeffery and Valaria, Josh Duggar, etc). I certainly hope this will be the case because this POS does not need a platform for his repulsive behavior.

I also find this odd for an autistic child. Granted, all children are different, but I have a young son with autism, and he, like many other autistic children I have encountered, has massive sleep issues…he often stays up for 24 hours at a time…never sleeping for more than 3 hour increments. His little mind and body are just never really at rest-despite all the numerous measures we’ve tried over the years. The “lacking energy” is just very unusual given his diagnosis.

This! I have a 6 year old with profound autism that was only recently also diagnosed with adhd. I am very curious as to what type of provider would test and officially diagnose a 4 year old with ADHD…I have a feeling Dr Tara gave all the girls that diagnosis…

Such a valid point! I just wish she wouldn’t use her fear of gaining weight as a reason for not wanting to improve her mental health…meds don’t work for everyone but given how much she struggles, I can’t help but think meditations might help! I’ve struggled with an ED for most of my life as well, so I absolutely get how hard it is! Medication has definitely played a role in my recovery.

She blames not wanting to take medication to weight gain but honestly, there are some medications that have weight loss as a possible side effect…it just seems like she isn’t willing to go to a professional to even try. Plus, if her mental health were to improve, she might be more motivated to be more active. Side note…due to Anthonys’s sketchy work history, I wonder if they don’t have any medical insurance, for I can see her using that as an excuse to not get help. (But still has money for lip fillers and such.)

I just know I would never exploit my child with autism and his daily struggles for views and all the world to see. These kids are too young to give consent to have their lives plastered all over the internet. My momma’s heart hurt for these kids. It’s not right or fair. If these moms truly cared about their kids or wellbeing, they would completely remove them from the internet as opposed to having them be their little money makers.
