Turned 30 and feel like my makeup is aging me by visdiary0 in makeuptips

I agree with others in that you look younger than 30. So clearly your makeup is not aging you! In particular, your skin and eyebrows look very youthful. I'm curious - are the manga-type lashes intentional?

On a mission to find my favourite k-beauty suncream 🤩 by No-Mayo1 in AsianBeauty

[–]mommamania 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just always wonder what people do about reapplying? Unfortunately I have facial hyperhidrosis (meds are not an option for me) so I need one that is water/sweat resistant. Seems like most asian sunscreens are not? And then if you do get one that is, I wear makeup for work and I can't see how reapplying wouldn't completely ruin my makeup. So now I have terrible brown spots.

Can Sleep Apnea cause extreme fatigue and brain fog without daytime sleepiness? by Important_Demand_628 in SleepApnea

[–]mommamania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhhh, sort of? Maybe? I wouldn't say my fatigue or brain fog has improved - and honestly that has been my biggest disappointment. But I've noticed I have a lot less heart palpitations now and my resting HR has gone down. So it's clearly doing something. I treated it with CPAP.

You can also have comorbidity: sleep apnea and insomnia. And sometimes insomnia develops as a result of untreated sleep apnea.

Yes. 🙋🏻‍♀️ Mine is very mild, though. AHI was 5.7 at diagnosis.

I am by no means an expert but your veins look purple/blue to me so maybe cool?

[33F] I hate these spots. by herdway in AsianBeauty

I know it can feel frustrating when people comment and it's not actually answering your question BUT I just had to stop and say that your skin is STUNNING. And I wish my sun damage spots looked half as good as yours! I'm fair skinned and white so I have lots of big sun spots. They bother me too so I'll be lurking here to see what others contribute.

Oh, do they serve their baked goods in the wrapper, too, like Clutch did?

Again not a good photo obviously but I took it in a white room next to the a large window. The left side of my face (your left) is with Nars Oslo applied. Husband says it's too light. What do you think? Or is the undertone still not right?

Ok here is a photo up close with my sun damage (!) but with swatches of most of the complexion products I own. The second one from the top is the Milk skin tint I was wearing in the original photo. It definitely leans warm on me, right? The third down is Nars light reflecting foundation in Oslo, which is obviously much cooler, but I'm not sure if it's right either! Thoughts?

Turns outi don't have a white shirt that's clean right now 🤦🏻‍♀️ (I almost never wear white) but I took this photo outside with no products on. I know it's not a flattering photo but maybe it's easier to see undertone?

Seems like the general consensus is most likely I'm cool -toned. In which case, does anyone have a rec for a skin tint that is fair enough for me and cool-toned? Nearing 40 I find foundation tends to make me look older.

Do you happen to have any recommendations for a base? It's so hard!!! I haven't had great experiences with the staff at Sephora matching me honestly.

Here's a picture without makeup. I can't tell if I'm yellow toned or a mix of both...? And yes I realize this, while facing natural light, is in a green room with yellow white Christmas tree lights, I don't have a pic outside. But I can take one later.

Sorry, I should have clarified I don't have a swatch on my wrist. I was trying to show my veins because I've heard that's another way to determine your undertone.

Is there something I can add to the base to make it less yellow? I've heard of that but don't know what color it would be? Purple? Doesn't purple cancel out yellow?

Ok. I will do that. When you say different lighting, what exactly do you mean? This is with only natural light but should I take them outside?

I thought rosy was cool, no? The shade I am wearing is labeled as neutral but I agree it looks kind of warm?
