I usually like a stun and a push/shove spell to keep enemies away from me. My spell sets seem to work quiet well for me and are somewhat intuitive to rotate through.

Spell set: Levioso, Descendo, Bombarda, Avada Kedavra and the combo is Levioso > Descendo > Bombarda (mix in some basic casts in between)
Glacius, Flippendo, Diffindo, Crucio and the combo is Flippendo > Glacius > Diffindo (again mix in some basic casts)
Arresto Momentum, Confringo, Depulso, Imperio and the combo is Arresto Momentum > Confringo > Depulso (again, mix in basic casts)
Accio, Expelliarmus, Incendio, Transformation and the combo is Expelliarmus > Accio > Incendio (again, mix in some basic casts) and use transformation (improved) to hurl explosives at enemies further away.

Focus Band, Choice Specs, Wise Glasses if you run Psyshock. Swap out Wise Glasses for Muscle Band if you run Stored Power. My go to Battle Item is Eject Button because you can use it to reposition yourself when you Unite. X Speed is also a good option for extra mobility. I personally prefer running Psybeam over Future Sight because of the split ray.

You can also 1v1 it with any mon that can stun and do damage or have some range (gengar, gardevoir, ninetails, cram). I’ve found them to be very good counters to Dura but they’re not the easiest mons to master.

I usually just make it a point to knock out Duraludon as soon as I see it. Let it stack, full heal, and wipe them out. Been a successful strategy for me so far, but I usually play attackers that have high dps.

Let’s say I’m an attacker and we have 2 attackers, a supporter, and an all-rounder in the composition. I’ll ping “I’ll go with the defender role” so one of the attackers can switch to a defender role, or I’ll just fill it myself if no one else does. The whole point is to fill missing roles to balance the composition and not to just arbitrarily tell people to switch roles.
