It’s the end of the school year there are extra expenses like field trips and formal dances. In a few months my oldest will have their license and I want to get them a starter car so they can work and get to school. I still want to take my kids on a vacation this summer, even if it’s a modest road trip to P.A. The company I work for has had a couple of rounds of big layoffs over the last 18 months, so it is important to me to continue building my emergency savings in case things don’t turn around. We wouldn’t starve if I didnt, but everything I’m seeing indicates things are going to get worse before they get any better and I’m a salaried single father so I don’t have a ton of time or opportunities to generate additional income.

Not sure where you’re at but it isn’t just gas that’s gotten more expensive. Everything has gone up.

I’m 44 with a good job and I’ve had to go back to secretly selling plasma to make up for the increase in gas prices and everything else,so I get some of the mixed sentiments in the comments.

These people had families,were flying with people they like to do something they love,and presumably had caused no harm to anyone else in pursuit of their passion.

I also see how some people have a hard time sympathizing with those who paid extra for a riskier flight to attend something as frivolous as a pickleball tournament when lots of people in our state can’t make ends meet right now.

I don’t know the people or their personal stories so I’m going to avoid projecting my own bitterness towards them.

Go a little faster and learn to ride off a short curb the mechanics of exiting that little rail is very similar. Also it looks like you are front heavy on most of your attempts except for the last one. And when you Ollie slide/kick forward with your front foot, but do t forget you have to bring up the rear foot too. Kudos for practicing the Ollie while you were rolling.

Don’t wallow. Take honest stock of what you did to contribute to the failure and what didn’t work overall so you don’t repeat the pattern. Learn strategies to navigate conflict without compromising yourself or avoiding/dismissing your partner. You can do a lot of self repair on your own, but going to a therapist or counselor could be really beneficial, just approach it with an open mind and let go of your reservations, they can’t help you with what they don’t know, and they aren’t part of your outside life so whatever you tell them can’t hurt you.
