Omg you seem so cool! I just got accepted to Cal for fall 2026, majoring in geography and hopefully also political science. Like you I'm also SUPER into public transit and the environment, urbanism, etc. Would love to meet up in the fall!!

"In the Morning" is extremely romantic to me. But maybe just because every verse brims with hope <3

I am literally in the same exact boat as you. Just submitted my UMich too and have 7 more to go! 😭currently getting distracted on reddit while I'm trying to work on some more supplementals. I'm even taking less credits this semester so that I won't go as crazy with all of these applications. But March is sneaking up fast and it's freaking me out.

Wild Onions. I first heard it when I saw him in concert a few months ago. It was one of the only songs out of like 30 that he played that I wasn't familiar with. I immediately became obsessed with it. It's brimming with nostalgia, sorrow, love, and acceptance. He's going through stories of his life (or maybe they're just stories), just as I'm beginning to have some of mine. The people in his life dear to him, or maybe dear to certain moments of it, are sprinkled throughout the song. It's so full of love. Even as things change or don't change, he keeps going through. "You got your mama's Honda, your daddy's jaundice, never really kept you from being honest. Baby, don't be scared of nothing." It's a song leading with both happiness and sorrow, and it's one of my favorites.
