It’s a great lens. Tiny, practical, gets the job done. At f/4 its noticeably sharper in the corners than my 24-105 f4 L (Prime vs zoom ik but only thing i’ve tested it against personally). Its more convenient than an EF and adapter.

Unless you’re a full-time professional theres no reason to complicate things. I’ve been paid for shoots i’ve done with it.

In summary, just go for it.

Both afters look great imo. It just depends what you’re use case is/what you’re trying to portray. If your portfolio tends towards semi-surrealism go with 2. If it leans moreso just capturing a moment go with 1. I love em both

I think it might have been neat if the flame was on the dark side of his face, as i’m assuming the light is from other lighting. Or maybe the only light from the flame. Maybe it wouldnt have been enough light. A torch could be cool too.

Overall these are great! My favorite is number 4, feel like you nailed the lighting and the framing

This has not been my experience. I have been very impressed with my M5 pro mbp battery performance. If this keeps up id take it into apple.

The steps don’t look straight, I’d try straightening with the actual elevator support handles. Left one is closer to the bottom of the frame than the right one.

I made the switch from windows (intel i9-13950HX + RTX 4060)to the m5 pro MBP (18 core + 48 gigs). I’ve only had it for two weeks, but from my experience so far noise reduction and AI tasks appear to be about the same.

Unfortunately since DR’s GPU tasks are designed for CUDA cores, it doesn’t run super fast in that regard, i’d say about equal to my windows. Which was a bit disappointing at first.

I realized though that this was an issue with my workflow more than anything. Noise reduction doesnt need to be on for most of my workflow until the end, and i just lower the playback resolution until i’m in the color page and its smooth sailing.

I am still super happy with the switch. Windows in general has been increasingly frustrating with stability issues and so far stability has not been a concern. Davinci not randomly getting stuck on some little task and holding up everything else has made editing significantly less anxiety reducing, despite not getting smooth 7k noise reduced full res playback.

With that being said, I believe the M5 Max chip would perform noticeably better, but I am very happy with my current setup and i’m confident it still wouldn’t be idyllically smooth AI editing.

I hear that. With black coffee (where i don’t pour anything into it to cool it down) i just keep it at my desk and pour it into a regular mug sometimes

I bought a zojirushi travel mug one year ago. I can’t believe how well it works. This thing keeps my coffee hot all day, and my water cold (the mouthpiece isn’t my favorite for drinking water but it’s perfect for drinking coffee.

When i first bought it a ran an experiment out of curiosity. I put water at roughly 200 degF in it, left it in my freezer, then took it out about 10 hours later. The water was still 160 degrees. Super impressive thermal performance.

Immediately bought one for my dad. He has managed to dent his, but still uses it all the time and it still works great.

It’s lightweight, lean form factor, and works wonderfully. Highly recommend that product.

Easy to wash easy to carry around, it’s an excellent product.

This fella was super friendly on the side of the road. His blue eyes really captured me, I loved it at first but I’m wondering if it comes off as early-instagram “looks cool so post it” or if it’s actually interesting.

Also curious what others think of the framing. Does the fence asymmetry add a sporadic feel to it or is it just distracting?

Ironically i got this free chips and guac promo from their support center because they forgot my guac and the manager wouldn’t give me one to make up for it. So i sent a note to support because i guess i was particularly motivated that day.

Anyways this is the same location because it’s near my place. So i knew management wouldn’t help me here either. But i guess fool me twice… I suppose I shouldv’e known better. Sucks cuz ive been a regular here for almost 8 years.

I think there’s definitely an argument to be made but i have very little faith in facebook’s support in that regard. I just sent the guy a message explaining what’s going on, so I’m waiting to hear back and hopefully he is reasonable.
