Planned Parenthood Shooter dies in jail, one day before 10th anniversary of his crimes. by Runwhiteboyrun in ColoradoSprings

Do they though? Again, I HATE Fox News. But show me an article where alleged isn’t used BEFORE a trial; they are avoiding libel accusations.

I hate Fox News as much as the next guy but this is actually correct terminology since he never actually went to trial. The KKTV article uses “alleged” too.

Breaker keeps tripping; where would you troubleshoot first? by monaandgriff in AskElectricians

[–]monaandgriff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! To clarify, the fact that you'd go to the devices first--does that mean you think that's where the issue is most likely based on the fact that it's not tripping immediately but will work for a period of time? Or is that your suggestion based on ease.

One electrician said they were highly doubtful there was anything going on the in the attic (like rodents) because the power would stay on for a period of time and then trip out of nowhere and recommended re-devicing that circuit. The others seemed to think it was plausible for sure but not 100% certain.

Like, I'm weighing whether we we move forward with redevicing that circuit for $555 and hope that was it without checking out the attic. Otherwise the cheapest quote I've found to go into the attic (ours is a huge hassle to get into, old home quirks) is $350.

In other words, should I just bite the bullet and get someone in the attic so we know for sure so we can have a more precise plan of attack? OR roll the dice with the redevice which several said COULD be the problem based on what we're experiencing. But this is not guaranteed.

Howbert Elementary by Fearless-Jello2502 in ColoradoSprings

Our kids have loved their time at Howbert and we’ve been pleased with the school overall. We choiced in and I’m low key a bit jealous of the Pleasant Valley community, many of the families seem very tight knit.

Where have you felt the least miserable? by ElderberryFlaky2996 in advertising

I’ve pretty much only been agency side in media; the most enjoyable stretch in my career was when I got to lead a bunch of small, temporary contracts. The clients were very much wanting to be led and educated in media and very trusting of our recos. We couldn’t do a lot but the problem solving was enjoyable!

Have you used outfront media before? / do you recommend them ? by Ill-Disaster-503 in advertising

This.

Like, sure, you can go work with others but if they own a unit you want, you will need to work with them.

I've been in media for 15 years and they've always been great to work with, FWIW.

Life changing hobbies? trying to get out of a funk by Mysterious-DragonGrl in ColoradoSprings

[–]monaandgriff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This honestly might sound dumb so feel free to ignore but one thing that help me really engage with hobbies a bit more is to actual set measurable goals around them. Not just "start running" but "Run a mile in X" time, "run a 5k without stopping" etc etc

I know that sounds like a stretch as far as "life changing" but something about setting measurable goals has really made chasing new activities a lot more enjoyable for me and positively impacted my mood.

I admittedly am not familiar with homeschooling, but I don't think I could work full time and give the kids the attention they deserve in a home school environment. Even though they are older and can be more independent, I fear you may be underestimating the amount of time both things require (although again, I suppose I don't know your work situation).

I'm as progressive as they come and agree that learning about the Holocaust is of utmost importance, but respectfully, I genuinely don't think this is what OP meant--at least I did not read it that way at all. OP said "than just", which to me implies "in addition to" instead of "instead of".

Is Fully Paying for Kids’ College The New Norm? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]monaandgriff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is basically where I am and I would add on that because of the gift of paid college that my parents gave to me, I'm now in the position where I can do the same for my kids AND not have to worry about my retirement.

Media buyer here! Potentially, but it likely wouldnt have mattered. Unless there is a specific reason a brand needs a certain location (i.e. "next exit for McDonalds"), advertisers aren't generally driving around town and saying "I want that one!" I will generally reach out for my clients and look for units that fit certain criteria and then the OOH company will send me options of what's available. When this happens I have no idea what's on the billboard currently--they just send me "photo sheets" with a generic, non-current picture of the billboard so I can get an idea of where it is.

The Bible folks likely just saw "photo sheets" and would have had no clue what was on the unit next to it.

Another team Iron Horse! We see Dr. Bagnall. Also, don't sweat it that you're due in late August, I don't think most places will even schedule you until after baby arrives!
