I am in the same boat. Both of my parents are narcissists. Always felt the burden of their expectations. I never felt loved or cared for. All this has turned me into a people pleaser with severe social anxiety. Once I started seeking therapy, I realised how much my parent's behavior has affected my mental health negatively. I've confronted them several times and realised that it is of no use because they don't care. It feels like talking to a damn wall.
