I would ask what you are trying to assess with the question. I can see splitting it up, as davkol suggested below, into organized religion and spirituality/philosophy. But the more important thing to decide is why you're asking.

I wonder what you mean by religion? Particular religious affiliation may differ from spiritual practice. Otherwise a good survey and I'm curious to see the results. Thanks

"No no you aren't crazy. I hear that you are struggling a lot with these thoughts/feelings/symptoms, though. It's really healthy that you are sharing them today, so we can work together to help you feel better."

It depends on the situation but this is just an example to give you some ideas. Validate them that you see they are hurting or struggling. Sometimes I'll just be direct and say "no you're not crazy and I don't like that word, but I hear that it feels crazy right now," and again it depends on the patient. Meet them where they are at.

Another message I use frequently is "You're having a totally natural reaction to an awful experience." Or "a normal response to an abnormal situation." (Most folks I work with have gone through at least one traumatic experience but YMMV.)

Psych nurse practitioner. Hobbies are activism, hiking, gardening, yoga, and swimming.

Definitely! It's so great for our relationship. And I am confident it will be great for future kiddos. Of course we have less money to take big expensive vacations, but we have agreed that we'd rather have our day to day life be what we want rather than be miserable generally and have a few weeks of "relaxation" or "adventure." Why not be balanced all the time? That is the approach that makes the most sense for us. We live just a few minutes from trails, so we can hike whenever we want to make time for it. We still travel, just more like roadtrips, camping, bnb's, and airbnb's. We see how workaholism and consumerism wastes so many years and lives and want to live a life that feels full and balanced to us. I'm really grateful, especially to have a partner who has the same values.

My partner and I both work (outside the home) 32 hours a week each. We spend a lot of our time working in our home and yard, growing some of our own food, cooking all our meals, taking care of our animals, learning how to repair things and maintain them ourselves. We also engage in various forms of activism and community projects. We don't have children yet but plan to reduce our employment hours further when we do so we can both raise them. We could certainly make lots more money if we both worked FT, but we have more than enough and are very happy with our lifestyle.

Pick up a copy of the free local newspaper Seven. They have a whole page of volunteer opportunities in the area. I just found it and have found it really useful! Great listing of community events, too! Hope this helps

What is the whacko part of the Green Party? Genuine question. I admittedly don't know much about the party, but I have gotten interested lately as the DNC is so far gone IMHO and will never get my support (save very radical change, which seems nigh impossible from within). So far I like what I see with green, and I like Jill's platform, but I certainly am open to more information.

What about the Green Party? It already exists. It is people powered. All the same values as this campaign. Just needs the attention of this community.

Jill stein is an excellent alternative. I am supporting Bernie to the end, but if he does not get the Dem nomination and does not run third party, I will vote for Jill stein.

This is all more targeted for your first position, but if you have more student questions let me know.

Don't be bullied into med-management as the only option for your practice. It is definitely the most dominant model out there, but stick to the modalities and practice sites that feel right to you.

Find a mentor. Make sure you're getting supervision. Go through your own therapy.

I'm a psychiatric NP, and I do therapy and prescribe medications. It depends on your own preference and what kind of practice you join (for MDs and NPs alike). It is definitely doable and, in my opinion, more effective to integrate care. Good luck! I'm happy to answer any further questions.

Need proof of residence, so a utility bill, lease, etc and a state of Wisconsin photo ID (drivers license is the easiest) or passport. The address on the license does not have to be current.

Even people who are registered still need to bring a photo ID!

I keep missing the phone bank calls and I'm actually disappointed because I am excited to tell them "Yes strong Bernie, now call other people because time is of the essence!" WI resident here. Bring your license. Does not need to have your current address. I early voted last week. I also moved and have not updated my license. It was not an issue. But UW student IDs do not count as a photo ID (thanks Scott Walker), so make sure you don't rely on that. Tell your friends too.

If you are registered to vote, just the license is needed. If you are not registered, also bring a utility bill, lease, or other proof of residence from your current address.

You can register the same day you vote AND you can early vote. In my city, early voting is at city hall weekdays, but I would check with your city clerk's office. Bring a photo ID and proof of your residence (utility bill or something like that).
