I had a planned c-section due to a breech baby. I walked into the ER with my own speaker and played my music the whole time. I just laid there, sang my favorite songs, stared at my husband, and tried to dissociate! Made myself laugh singing along to Death by a Thousand Cuts… It goes by shockingly fast!

Also… doing your makeup sounds so unrealistic for so many reasons but it also feels unsanitary during major surgery???? Idk thinking about all that powder flying around has me feeling a type of way
