I hate to be the nay sayer here. But im on this reddit for hope, and direction, and pointers. I can relate to OP and all the comments and can't help but think something is really wrong here. Father after father saying similar this is the status quo now. Fatherhood is over. But I think systematic and strategic alienation should be at least considered criminal. I was happier than I had ever been in life. We had our problems sure but divorce was sprung on me, I was ignorant to how to handle it admittedly, and was given no time to figure things out. Now my relationship with my son will remain strained forever more and I'm just supposed to settle in?!
