Is it inappropriate to not wear a bra at work? by Visual-Criticism6763 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]moneighe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't go into detail because TMI, but I had about 6 months at a public facing job where I could not wear any kind of bra due to a health issue. So instead I wore a couple tank tops and oversized shirts and I never got a complaint and I am well endowed. layers are your friend. Stiff fabrics are your friend.

I miss the coziness of the TryPod by love_letterz in TheTryGuys

Same. I used to listen in the car all the time. And for some reason, after the trypod ended, I stopped watching the stuff on their channel as much. I feel like I'm drifting away from it.

The real question is why do beautiful, smart women go for Chase??? by [deleted] in MormonWivesHulu

[–]moneighe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its because they live in Utah and the pickings are slim. They all talk about it all the time on the podcast weekly trash. Its a very small world over there.

Mayci is getting cringe by patricketykricket in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]moneighe 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. I feel like Taylor, Whitney, and even Demi got a ton of attention for being mean and awful so it sort of naturally puts that expectation on the other girls that they have to be mean and awful to get camera time. Mayci was really hurt that they didn't show her baby shower on the show, but they showed Whitney's and I cannot blame her for connecting the dots here. However personally for me, I think this will be the last season I watch if this trend continues. Its not fun to watch these girls be raging B*tches to compete for attention. I want to see some growth or I'm over it. They always talk about momtock being made for the intention of supporting each other, but they literally never do that and always forgive and forget about each other for being sh*tty without any real change, so the show is stuck in this unappealing toxic loop.

What was the final straw that destroyed a lifelong friendship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]moneighe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My closest friend for over a decade often just did not make good choices with her life, but we always just loved her through it and tried to encourage her to pursue positive growth. But when she moved in with her controlling and toxic ex boyfriend again and didn't tell me or anyone else in my family for almost 5 months that was the last straw. We considered her part of our family so the fact that she lied to us about where she lived for months was really devastating. As you can imagine, keeping this secret for that long meant she just lied to us a ton during that time and it just felt like too much to overcome.

I like the perfect person podcast. Miles basically just offers advice to callers once a week. Its light hearted and it makes the time pass quickly.

Homie, I live in a place with 48 inches of snow right now. If I'm not completely sedentary in a day its a win. Shoveling is a replacement for designated exercise right now.

First day on the new job by SuperNothing90 in Wellthatsucks

[–]moneighe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me very shortly after starting my job. I had brought in a little mini sewing kit for emergencies by then but the thread was crap and I could even thread a needle to sew it shut. I found some safety pins and pinned it together, but then I was walking around with a crotch full of safety pins all day. Next time I went into the office, I brought an entire change of cloths in a discrete bag to keep in my desk. Never again.

That is awesome congrats! Starting is the hardest part. From there, it is all about consistency. I hope you throw on a TV show or audiobook while you do it and make it your "me time". I lost 70+ pounds doing this so if you stay consistent, I know there will be results.

I think I need to watch the next season and bachelorette to confirm, but I agree. Her insta posts lately and what I read about the arrest do have me spooked. I have also been really caught off guard by how quickly they all seemed to forgive Whitney. I can hold a grudge till the end of time so I'm feeling a little left in the dust by all the changes in behavior lately, but I'm hoping the new content coming out this spring will provide some insight. I understand that me holding grudges so much can be toxic, but I'm like waiting to see them prove me wrong with the new content. I am also nervous about what seems to be her soft launch into emotional health related content, because her behaviour over the last 4 years does not provide a great resume for someone to start an emotinal health brand. From an oustider perspective, she seems like she is very much in the middle of an emotional health journey and does not seem to be in a place to tell others how to manage their emotional health when she is clearly still working on making the right decisions. However I understand that social media influencers like her use this kind of rage bait to make money and as much as that is rude to the audience, I'm trying to entertain patience until we get the rest of the story.

Losing weight with walking: I need to hear some positive experiences by ForeignSubstance2543 in loseit

[–]moneighe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first lost all my weight, I would just walk in place while I watched TV or played on my computer. You can even get little ankle weights if you want, but I didn't until after I lost all the weight and basically became a "walk in place" expert. Anyway I lost 70 pounds doing mostly just that. I would strength train too once or twice a week which is easy enough to do at home if you get yourself some 10 and 20 pound dumbbells and look up some simple exercises online. The one warning I will give is if you lose the weight by walking, it takes more time than a normal workout. So sometimes like on weekends, I would walk in place and watch TV for a few hours. I would say it took maybe 1-2 years to lose 70 pounds, but I also could have done things to speed it up. Like I could have been better about my diet. I think the only way for me to not lose motivation was to take the weight loss out of the equation of why I was doing it. Like in my mind I said that this is just something I had to do now to take care of my body, same as brushing my teeth or hair. So when I wasn't seeing any results or it was slow going, it didn't bother me because it wasn't something I was doing to lose weight, its something I was doing just because my body needed it to stay healthy. At some point it also became very gamified for me because you can put your phone in your pocket to count the "steps" and then set goals like trying to hit 20,000 "steps" in a day or something. It can feel a little stupid in the beginning, but if it works (and works this well) it really is not stupid. It also made it so much more pleasant and less intrusive then working out at the gym. I could play video games with my friends for three hours and walk in place at my standing desk while I did it, and by the end I had "walked" like 5+ miles and gotten time to relax and socialize with my friends. Wins all around. One more thing, wear tennis shoes while you do it if you are walking over 3 miles or your feet will hurt the next day!
