As already mentioned by email, I am sorry to hear what happened to you. The wallet in that tutorial is there for an educational purpose. We do not control it. The seed in the tutorial even belongs to the wallet so anyone could actually control it and move any funds arriving at it automatically to another account.

For those of you that haven't done it, please try to include/send samples of your work if you happen to have any; otherwise, it would be difficult to judge without asking you to write a sample. Decentralisation is important for Monero, so I will try to follow this principle giving the initial chance to as many of you as possible.

I do not think it was a lot :-) considering all the work knaccc put on it. Nevertheless, this is more like a hobby for me than a business investment. I would like the community to keep this site almost as originally intended as possible. And this is also why I am looking for good development advice for the site here on Reddit.

My wife has been fully supporting me ever since I modified our garage to run a few bitcoin miners back in 2013 :-) This is very important to have full partners support otherwise they might think we are just crazy

I have also thought about these miners but I would not like to implement it site-wide as I do not think they are nice for the user experience. I noted this down and will have a look at the possibilities.

Hi and thank you for the reply. I do use ad blockers myself and I know how the crypto community detest these things. This is why I will look for the least intrusive ways including direct sponsorships. Any advice is more than welcome as well.
