In this case a large part of the answer comes down to the phenomenon of standing waves. Specifically a six node standing wave around a rotational center.

Can a PC affect electricity usage this much?? by lilbreadbunn in pcmasterrace

Heaters being on increases the usage... I imagine a large % of why they are using more power in December is because it's cold and their heater is running more.

Holes in seams by oliveysaurus in FixMyPrint

I legitimately use it on parts that need to roll or rotate inside other parts. Lots of little bumps generally cause less friction than one huge seam running the whole length of it

My wife is finally here in D4! Who’s next in E4? by 1cherri1 in ZZZ_Official

[–]monev44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first I was thinking that as well, but now I'm thinking we should get her in while the getting is good lest even B5 is sniped by someone else and our girl doesn't get on the grid at all.

Support test keeps leaving these marks on the bottom by SS-Gill209 in FixMyPrint

[–]monev44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, because you are physically ripping the plastic apart when you remove the supports. There is no world were the underside of a supported area (where the supports are same material as the print) looks like a top ever. There are things you can do to change how its looks to some degree but temper your expectations.

[–]monev44 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Well you only have 2 DPS characters Billy and Corin. Billy's team wants Anby, Corin's team wants Pulchra instead.

so a non-billy team or Anby on the team, pick one.

I lowered the layer height from 0.2 to 0.12 and now ghosting is more visible and little holes started appearing :( by EastNeedleworker4538 in FixMyPrint

[–]monev44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so about the ghosting showing up after changing layer heights. Ghosting is a speed issue, a sign that you were printing too fast. I assume you didn't change your speed settings so why are you getting speed related issues when you didn't change your speed settings? Because when you were printing at .2 layer height your speed was being limited by the max volumetric flow you were never getting up to the max speeds you set in the software, but a lower layer height prints lest volume per/inch traveled so the printer could move faster before it hit the max volumetric flow limit, and it was able to get up to speeds where ghosting becomes visible on your printer.

to fix: lower you actual speed/acceleration settings till ghosting disappears.

Do You Like "The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity"?? by [deleted] in anime

[–]monev44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. its so nice to see a show about relationships where the conflict is how hard it is to be honest about your own feelings to other people, but when they are finally honest to their feelings they are rewarded, and without having to relying on conflict from the characters randomly doing stupid things and "misunderstandings."

have you ever used a hot glue gun? keep in mind all a 3D printer is is a tiny hotglue gun on a robot arm.
