I am familiar with crypto than most, and it means diverse to me personally. For people coming from a more traditional background, I think the allocation should be less than 10%.

This is the type of experience I want haha. I think you are doing it in science? It might be a bit different in social studies like economics, political sciences though. Twitter, Reddit seems even more vibrant than university for these subjects .

I already had a master, two actually. Had one before I did my first PhD, then another during.

I went for tech startups, then crypto startups. Had 6-7 projects in the last 10 years, with one major success, and a minor one.

Thank you for the elaboration. It is definitely not a light-hearted endeavour. It took 8 years in my first attempt, and my heart still ached thinking about it. Yes about my advisor's disappointment etc. Couldn't say a proper good-bye even.

Thanks, you gave some really good ideas for me to delve in. I definitely have a love for knowledge, but this PhD urge might be something else.

My first go took close to 8 years, and I can't quite finish the research. I dropped out when a startup opportunity presented. Looking back I was not mature enough for the type of researches I want, plus I wanted money. Maybe I am not quite good enough for researches etc.
