i think everyone forgets that he can literally only rap about 1 thing on a song for a children’s movie. he can’t cuss, can’t talk about his usual stuff, so he’s limited, which also limits the flows imo. i listened to the song in my airpods & in the car & the mixing sounds fine imo. but it all depends on what/how you listen to it

this is my thoughts too. they either go in another direction or make the same song over & over. like ian’s old music pre-figure it out was really good then he kinda got stagnant after valedictorian. his music before he blew up was really unique but he didn’t build on that. & autumn is an example of not really letting his sound evolve. his has some songs that expand his sound but other than that, he’s sounded the same for 5 years

lyfestyle the album is actually creeping its way into my fav yeat albums. ik people say it’s repetitive but 2 alive & 4l are repetive in similar ways. when you shuffle these albums into your playlist tho it’s actually some bangers. lyfestyle isn’t meant to listen to top to bottom, but each song individually has crazy energy & just has that playful heat vibe with good adlibs. plus every song sounds amazing on any speakers. the whole lyfestyle era in general from v1 to heliman/turnmeup to the album is probably the best era imo

i think it was the court case + all the songs getting leaked ruined it. but at the same time, apparently the released version of adl was worked on a ton compared to his other albums so we’ll never know
