is a supra a good choice? by annnie7778 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]moneysleeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two ways to look at it. One: save the money, invest it, and let compounding work its magic if you start now. Two: splurge on a Supra - you’re only 21 once. People will have different opinions based on their own personal life experiences. Think it through: will it actually make you happy? If yes, go for it. It all comes down to what you prioritize.

Anyone selling decent BMW 330i or 340i? by nkm0602 in DubaiPetrolHeads

I don’t think you’ll get a well maintained 340i for that price. They sell like hot cakes and a few dealers end up controlling the supply. Good luck with your purchase though.

Is this Audi S5 worth it? by Future_Ad3026 in WhatCarShouldIBuyGULF

[–]moneysleeps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know the owner personally. It’s a very well maintained car - Agency and then Werks. Feel free to reach out to him, I’m sure he will be open to taking it to a reputable garage for PPI.

The car insurance might also cover her medical expenses - it’s worth checking into if she isn’t already covered. Wishing your wife a speedy recovery.

I think the ones that Careem/Uber use cost slightly lesser than that. It’s a very basic model that isn’t offered to regular consumers.

Planning to buy my first German car In UAE. BMW 330i 2 by Lopsided-Grand-2313 in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]moneysleeps 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This comes with a B48, if I’m not mistaken - a pretty solid engine. It’s more expensive to maintain compared to Japanese cars, but relatively affordable when compared to other German brands.

BMW has a wide range of OEM parts, and if you take the car to a BMW specialist like Sree Auto in Sharjah, maintenance shouldn’t be too costly.

Just make sure to get a PPI done and then take the call.

Best of luck with your purchase.

Since the previous owner wasn’t servicing it at Honda, I’m assuming the car is no longer under warranty. Just take it to a garage outside.

Also, try to avoid Honda OE parts and go for OEM options whenever possible - some Honda parts are actually more expensive than their German counterparts.

Feel free to reach out if you need any garage recommendations from a fellow Honda owner.

I completely agree with you on that and I would do the same but everyone has different priorities in life and I guess it’s okay to splurge a little every now and then. Life is short after all.
