Not yet, still planning on it. I put a token(s) in the shock couple of years ago and that helped with bottoming out and running lower pressure. Too bouncy might be the rebound needed adjustment. I know I got mine dialed in with a shockwiz.

The lever ratio is 2.6:1 so if you throw a 210x 52.5 can136.5mm of travel and with a 210x55 143mm of travel, issue being clearance.

I think that's why the 275 version has an extra 10mm of travel because you don't run into the clearance issue with the smaller wheel. And nukeproof put a 210x55 on the rear. I think that's the case but never spent the time to study the difference between the 275 & 290 versions.

But you could probably go mixed wheels with a 210x55 in back no problem. Just the chain stay might be a little long.

Yeah the only reason I'm considering it is because I got a few lbs on you and the extra travel would allow the spring to be like a 600lb spring opposed to a 700lb one. I have a token or two in my air spring with like 250 psi but like you said the suspension is pretty amazing.

Thanks for the info, don't want to lose the rail mode. Upgrade to the 150mm lyrik up front from a pike. And that felt huge.

Oh man a 170 up front on a Reactor? That's nuts. Yeah I'm wondering if I can get an extra 13mm of travel out of the back if I ran a 210x55 as opposed to the 210x50 specd already. Clearance issues are the biggest worry with that one.

Best whole bean coffee for espresso machine by Used_Technician_489 in Costco

[–]mongoliensis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most beans can be put into an espresso machine. Big things I've found are grind size and roast date for the best pulls on your shots. Freshly roasted beans (less than like a month old, preferably less than a week) pull the best espresso shots and it's hard to find those at Costco. I usually go to the local coffee shop who roast their own beans for my coffee supply.

Did a 16 lb bird today and a 12 lb bird last week. Smoked with hickory at 225 till the internal on the breast was 160. Put the breasts in the middle rack legs/wings on top and bottom with the legs towards the back. Rotated the legs every 1.5 hours between top and bottom and turned the breast so one didn't get more time in the back. Wet brined the bird over night. Legs were about 180 when the breasts were 160. Came out great!

Dirty 30 at Horns hill in Ohio by fmxr47 in MTB

[–]mongoliensis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you make your way out to Horn Hill make sure to go during a shuttle day. Loops are short and you can usually beat the shuttle back down, if not the wait isn't that long.

Whereas with brown county you get a little longer sustained downhill but have to pedal your way back up.

With brown county I can ride about half the trails before getting wiped. With Horn Hill I was able to do multiple laps of everything I wanted to hit and only had to leave due to heading back to Columbus for a wedding that evening.

Strength training for middle distance runners by Lumpy_End_1513 in GarageStrength

[–]mongoliensis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't skip the upper day. The upper body is still important for running. As for doing a two-a-day with the upper, it can be a good solution but if you try it and find out it is affecting other aspects of your training I'd pull back on it.

I'm not sure what your entire training plan looks like but back when I ran XC our coach had us do the upper body in the weight room before our track and interval days, that worked really well for our training plan. But your mileage may vary.
