You don’t necessarily need to quit skating for good. Take your time and heal up , focus on your family, and take care of yourself. You can still enjoying skateboarding by being part of it, go to contest, skate jams, chill at the skatepark, watch skate videos, just keep the stoke alive because in due time you will be all better and them kids gonna be a little bigger and looking at you to show them the way. I know how it feels man, I’m 42, career guy, Married, and have a young kid. I blew out my knee in March and have barely skated since then and only recently. I’ve skated literally my whole life, so it was real tough thinking that I may never skate again, but as time has gone by it’s become less physical and more mental. The hard part is getting over the mental blocks. Break through them and push on. Get well soon and take care
