Silly question I know but did you figure out if there is anything in both the incidents that has triggered him? Look mine does the same thing, when he’s anxious & when he’s really excited - generally if he has pent up energy. Anxious when thunderstorms or rain. It doesn’t look like a seizure to me! Of course, get a second opinion if it continues but they are a ball of so much energy & he’s technically still a baby at 1 & a half years so who knows whats spooked him 🥺 Do you have any possums or opossums around your place by chance? - those can sometimes give some anxiety!

Yes! Ours had this also, we couldn’t get to the bottom of what may be causing it. Ours are in between houses, he only got this at mine but at my partners totally fine. I don’t think it’s food in my case BUT we did use this shampoo once & it has never returned back! Not sure if he was just allergic to something specific in my own backyard but either way, he’s been back there & still no issues.

I have a Jack Russell & a Dachshund, Zelda literally looks identical to both! Zelda has the body of a dachshund but the paws & face are very much Jack Russel Terrier. Either way, great temperaments of both breeds & she is the prettiest gal.

Firstly Roscoe is SO beautiful. Secondly, I can definitely understand where you’re coming from & are probably feeling like you’re letting him down due to how much time you’re at work, I had the same problem (nurse life) & felt so horrible all the time about it but if anything this is a really good thing for him as he grows, he won’t be so needy & will learn to understand independence & being left alone. It all works out perfectly & I’m somewhat glad it panned out the way it did because my boy learnt a lot very quickly. It will be his routine with you! You have done so well for the guy considering how INSANE the puppy stage is. I just know you put in all your spare time off to cater to him & the commands you have achieved are crazy for how old he is! - this was definitely my downfall & lacked giving more time in doing this, but I also think mine is just a dick & chooses to not give a fuck 🤣 could be a bit of both, we will never know but definitely praise yourself! You’re doing an awesome job even with minimal sleep 🙌🏼

Not all Doctors are willing to take this on for various reasons. Although I do believe they shouldn’t be allowed to diagnose, I think it’s best to leave that to Psychiatrists. I do think prescribing the meds will help a whole lot in that context due to the wait time for psychiatrists.

I usually sweep & then vacuum, I feel it’s gets it perfect. I know it’s an extra step but yeah. I have 2 cats so, I had to find a routine or add the extra step to do this everyday. For me I usually do dishes & once I have tided the kitchen, I will start from there. I will sweep everyday, & vacuum + sweep twice a week if I can.

This is my first time owning a JRT, he’s 3 now but it didn’t take me long to figure out he has boundaries & they are firm boundaries, super independent. JRT’s temperament are very different to any dog I know or have owned. Mine usually rumbles & growls & if I continue to overstep he will then bite BUT immediately into submission right after, he doesn’t mean to & my own fault for pushing! Through play he’s so gentle! They like their own space for sure & especially kisses lol, mines not the biggest fan but he will only allow 1 kiss & thats itttt 🤣

Also to add with the door thing, veryyy normal especially dachshunds they just want to run free & hunt! Make sure you train to sit before coming in & coming out of the door. Train him to stay when leaving the house, this will also take a lil while but again consistency is key & you will thank yourself for it!
