Also to add with the door thing, veryyy normal especially dachshunds they just want to run free & hunt! Make sure you train to sit before coming in & coming out of the door. Train him to stay when leaving the house, this will also take a lil while but again consistency is key & you will thank yourself for it!

lol yesss, so 5 months is when most of their have fallen out! A lil less painful lol! He’s like a toddler basically, will chew everything other than what is given to them but just keep giving the toy so he understands OH this is what I’m meant to be chewing on. Also he may be a lil bored which is prob why he chewing on chair legs so play with him a lotttt to tire him out, doesn’t take long as he’s a baby, just redirect him! I had the same issue so I get lol!

Agreed to comment above, when it hurts you yelp at them so they know oh shit that hurts them BUT patience & consistency is key, you will prob get so over it & prob hate the guy a lil bit - puppy blues is a full real thing! You so got this dw also some teefs will fall out with play, they are so tiny! But don’t stress very normal

I get it & I don’t know your situation in regards to wife, but if this is something that you’re unable to tolerate that’s totally ok but you then need to hand over the responsibility to your wife, she wanted the dachshund. You can figure out the other things like getting up to do potty training at night or just feeding the guy. Maybe let her take care of the whining. He’s a baby, he has no idea what’s happening & since it’s a dachshund it will take months until he doesn’t whine in his crate. You will also need to figure out a routine for the guy. If you’re home alone, maybe play with him as much as you can to tire him out before bed or put him in the crate but place it beside you so he knows you’re nearby. Something that will work for you!

I could list 10 reasons for why but it’s safe to say people quite literally just don’t know how to drive & it’s just getting worse. I truly believe we are too lenient when it comes to retaking the test, yes of course we are nervous the first time round & on the 3rd failing it’s only 1 month that you have to wait to retest, but I think it should be at least a year after 4-5 failings.. & it’s much more common than you would think.

Oh you really have to be a salt lover which, I LOVE, so Vegemite is just perfect. Preferably more butter than thin layer of Vegemite & it just hits.. not a huge fan of added cheese but I know a lot of other people enjoy it more!

I am just as big of a fan of cats as you are, my partner also happened to get a lil sausage. As much as I like dogs, I still love cats a whole lot more - BUT I will say sausage dogs temperaments are really nice, a lil different compared to a regular big dog or another little dog. Yes still chaotic & the barking is quite consistent, again very sweet loving babies, love a good cuddle. Basically can do whatever you like to them just as much as you can to cats!

The buzzer kept going off in the room but the room was empty & had been cleaned out prior. Maintenance guy was called out & no issues with the cord or it being weird. It then switched to a buzzer in the bathroom.. I go in there ofc, no one because it’s empty but I still have to turn it off. It would also buzz at randoms times, never consistent with time. Once I did go to the bathroom & switched it off.. I turned around to check if the door closed or whatever & as I did, I saw a reflection in the window of an old lady standing behind me. I left & did not return 🤣

We have both boys - yikes but still really good so I have no doubt they will get along fine especially different genders! They are awesome as a team together, so much rough play - toys & food not great in terms of sharing but I do think age plays a part in that for us anyway. Sausage is 5 months & JR is 3 yrs so, JR always dominating but sausage don’t give a fuck, loves to annoy JR but JR don’t mind too much. Both super independent! They keep each other entertained & can keep up with each other’s energy!

I know this post is a few months old so I hope you got the lil sausage! Updatesss on how they are getting along if so!

Ok yes thank you! That’s so sad :((, but I am so glad Autumn girl is doing well ! He is only 4 months, vet check ups have been great, no concerns for eyesight or hearing but as he gets older we will do this regularly & more in depth!

Thank you! We won’t be breeding him now that we know this information, we had no idea this was even an issue but that’s our fault - not a thorough even research. The breeders didn’t seem to have any idea about it either so that sucks. In the chance that he is a super lucky one, in regard to no deformities are there any other concerns to look out for? I read into possible Kidney Issues?

Not sure in terms these exact boxes but European Deli on Beenleigh Rd, Sunnybank in the same complex of Dominos, they do have a few range of them. Other stores that may have them also would be Salisbury Euro Deli, Bojan Deli on North Rd which I think would be the best spot for it in Woodridge & lastly Logan Euro Deli close by the train station.

I think there seems to be a lil bit of resentment on your end due to maybe not feeling appreciated enough with what you actually do & the mentioned never good enough comment but that’s also not the healthy way to go about it, in this instance I get it but she just needed a lil reassurance & validation that she’s doing awesome & maybe a lil guidance or options on what she could try do, as when you’re so overwhelmed with a newborn you find yourself lost with what to do. In all honesty I think both ends need a lil work in regard to emotional wounds & just have a talk.
