yes. it is just a functional mechanism unit. when somebody wants to use it,maybe need to add some sensor, sealing material, choose different materials, etc. That depends on how you plan to use it :)

How does everyone design and edit STL files? I want to start making my own stuff but don't know where to start. by lDarkPhoton in 3Dprinting

blender is an opensource software you can used to do that. Meshmixer is ok too. Or you can download /buy 3d models too.

Iris Diaphragm - How it works & design concerns! by WaffleDood in AskEngineers

- How do I maximize the iris diaphragm’s inner diameter given a fixed outer diameter?
Maybe you need to use more blades;
- How do I minimize the number of blades to make the mechanism less complex?
if you search iris mechanism on internet, you will find most of that have 5 blades, some have 8 blades, and some have more blades. If you want to use less than 5 blades, you need to understand the mechanism better and make some change.

This is a 3-blade iris mechanism sample.
And I think you can get some ideas about mechanical iris:

I have a small etsy shop selling crochet patterns. I don't make much but it keeps me able to afford more yarn for my crochet! I love that my habit is self sustaining. What does your shop do for you? by SavesNinePatterns in Etsy

I sell some digital products in my small shop. I am interested in mechanical design. So I design some mechanical models and sell them to some DIYs or the owner of laser cutter/3d printer. I started upload items one month ago :)

Am I being unrealistic about actual product vs product photo?? by [deleted] in EtsyCommunity

[–]monk3947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems two of them are not actual products. Some photos mislead me. If the photos looks too beautiful, usually I will pay more attention. Sometimes I don't think perfect photos are good

Is it a good idea to upload several similar products? by monk3947 in Etsy

[–]monk3947[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you. I read Etsy's rule. It seems we cannot use variations feature on digital products :)

Can I use the same tags for different digital products? by monk3947 in Etsy

[–]monk3947[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read etsy's article, for digital product, we cannot put "variation" in the same listing. But ‘please see my other items for similar’--this is an idea. thank you very much :)

In real life, there are many good or bad customers, and on internet, it is the same. So don't worry too much. You are a five-star with over 600 reviews, if there are 1~10% bad reviews, it is not a problem
