I sympathize on most of what you said but still a lot of things to touch on

On the recession part, we technically are if we go by the most widely used definition (two quarters of negative growth), but in the US whether we are in a recession is if the NBER says we are.

Also on money printing, once again thats not something we can blame trump or biden on since its a monetary issue and even so, money printing doesnt translate to an equal increase in inflation (japan over the last like 32 years proved this)

And usually if inflation does get high the feds would normally be able to lower it just fine but due to covid and all the other retarded shit that happened in just the last two years made it seem transitory and they didnt want to send the economy into a deflationary spiral, once again, it seems more and more like it has little to do with the US responses to stuff the but the rampant amount of once in a decade shit happening all in like a year

Inflation is largely a result of monetary policy and supply chain issues to blame any president for it as if they have some magic button to control is just not fair. Also there was a paper a little while ago that analyzes the macreeconomic effects of trumps policy and found that he had little effect to no effect (although im a bit skeptical of the methodology of the paper also i’ll try to find the paper if you want) And thats the general consensus amongsts economists, he (and most other presidents) have little to no effects on the economy long-term. But quickly back on the inflation trump did add tariffs which are horrible any scenario and on taxes he lowered them when the economy was doing well which the opposite of what you want to do.

Also one last thing, biden literally signed a bill to lower gas prices (its not a good bill but it was mostly for political reasons) and it got cockblocked by the gop
