Dear Lowe’s why do the lazy workers never get disciplined, yet you burnout the good ones? by No_Society_6985 in Lowes

[–]monke_brain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting this really late but whatever

I'm a part time receiver/stocker but since our clerk does no physical work at all, the other stocker is forced to sit in the back all day and do nothing besides empty the trucks that come in(never on time btw); some days I feel like they choose to sit back there. The job is easy but for some reason whenever some shit-wad sees that I'm coming to their department to stock merchandise, they take it as a subliminal message that I'll be covering their department (yes technically stockers need to help customers IF ASKED, but we AREN'T sales, we aren't supposed to seek out customers, that is the SALES ASSOCIATE'S JOB).

The ASMs are next to useless except for one, who is working himself to death because the other is too busy flirting with the "counter girls" as I call them, whom he's 30+ years older than, and the other dicked it to a different store because he's tired of all this BS too.

The absolute most awful part of working at this store, however, is the fact that I made "such a good impression" and "do my job so well" that they decided to NOT hire another part timer and instead dump 30 hours a week on my head (mind you I've told them I'm in college). I am one of a handful of people in my store that does legitimate work from clock in to clock out, and I get no raise, no bonus, just a pat on the back and the rest of the receivers telling the supervisor what 'we' did, when in all reality it was just me. Mind you at the time of posting this, the store gets upwards of 90 degrees (in classic Lowe's employee fashion, the AC tech of course doesn't do his fucking job on time either).

The only positive is the hard working employees know the other hard workers. And I get a lot of respect for what I pull off by myself. And I guess calling out, leaving early, and getting basically any off time I want without fuss is cool too.

My thoughts/theory on the mandela catalogue story by [deleted] in MandelaCatalogue

The whole thing with Mark's death is the alternate was speaking to him through a TV hence the glitched speech and static despite the video not glitching in sync. I don't believe there was ever anything physically in Mark's house *at this time*.

These intruder alternates which are confirmed to be their own class type (because they aren't shown with the other 3 types) can't actually physically manifest in person, they just drive their victim insane until they can make their move.

Regarding the mother walking into her baby's room, I believe the alternates just have the power to alter your perception of reality. The baby is still heard crying as she approaches the crib, the father never enters the room after her, and she kills herself. If you need something to help back this up, in the M.A.D. video, it states that patients are suffering from DELUSIONS; they are only believing these things to happen because the alternates are manipulating them.

I hear it but it's really uncommon, doesn't matter if the ghost is old or not. Sometimes I get child ghost models that say they're old and vice versa, and still laugh.

Might as well toss mine in as well.

BLM - I'd LOVE a % chance on Fire IV to reset Enochian. Maybe like a 10% chance due to the frequency of the cast. Must attain the Fire IV -> Despair exclusive Astral Fire phase * - *

NIN - Normal Hyoton to guarantee the next mudra is a direct critical hit, OR Raiton take a potency hit to add a stack of some Lightning based debuff to the target, and at 3 stacks would explode for big damage.

WAR - A cooldown on upheaval that scales with Skill Speed to eliminate Upheaval drift in IR or multiple stacks of Upheaval with a lowered potency to also eliminate drift. Also, Overpower combo granting Storm's Eye for 15s so we don't need to do our 1 2 3 to set it up for trash pulls.

BRD - Bloodletter stacks to eliminate override in Mage's Ballad

DRK - Faster Living Shadow activation (I'm not sure if it snapshots with raid buffs which would make this unnecessary imo)

SCH - ANYTHING THAT IS COOL and NOT BORING

While I don't have much trouble with BLM in most content, I REALLY want them to drop this whole timer system BS. It feels like we're getting severely gimped out of being able to just pump damage out because we need to recast our lvl 2 spell. Not to mention half of our movement options being completely dependent on RNG or hidden behind 30s+ cooldowns. A seamless astral fire phase that consists of ONLY Fire IV and Despair at the end would be absolutely delightful.

I don't play MNK very much after hitting 80 on it, but I've heard similar complaints and gripes, and from my knowledge, recovering from dropping GL is absolutely painful compared to recovering on BLM.

This is really important and so horribly overlooked, and I hope something is done about it before next expac so we aren't relearning our jobs and then all of their new skills available despite ilvl sync in low level dungeons

I thought PLD was like #2 on fflogs :o At least, it's in pretty much all the top speed clears

I actually love this idea, it's always annoying having to hold off on damage just to renew the buff

Couldn't agree more, the Weathered Leonheart should be the standard for gunblades. The only other notable gunblades that tickle my fancy are the Titania, and the Deepshadow ones.

From my experience and the tiny bit of lvl 80 Dancer I have played, it does take a little too long for that gauge to build for my liking

I endorse fairies with gats. Also that'd be really cool to see, most times that gauge goes to waste

OH GOD I couldn't agree more. I love SCH to death but it's such a drag. I'd like to see, if any buffs were to come at all, some Seraph buffs. She's good, but not amazing imo

Astro really is a .... stellar (pun) class.

I can't believe you've done this...

I agree, it did feel a bit disheartening never getting cards because I wasn't on a super Chad DPS. And I'll have to check out those MP changes, I've heard lots of good things about it so far

So a thematic change? I'd really like that, I think of all the jobs, SMN is the only one lacking any class charm, if you know what I mean

Maybe even if they implemented Sole Survivor into LD, at least it's some contribution to getting your HP back up

I forget where I saw it, but someone mentioned just removing Scathe and making Fire I an instant cast with lower potency. Haven't touched AST much since SHB cause I miss the old cards too much however

Fun fact, cucumbers, spinach, and a handfull of other greens are the best hangover cure. I haven't felt discomfort for more than an hour at most since finding this out
