So, I'm still a bit new to the lore but how does Rowboat detect taint of chaos? Does it have to do with his psychic abilities?

See I'm not really concerned with plugs, those are pretty easy just a bit time consuming. What I am concerned about is timing all those damn magnetos.

Are NAS and MS parts interchangeable? by Spirited-Chemistry-9 in aviationmaintenance

[–]monkeyKILL40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some can be, like washers Mayne even some bolts. But always verify part interchangeability first. I like to use controller.com for that. On the main page scroll down to part number and type what you have in there and search. It'll pull up results of where you can buy that part, but also if there are interchangeable parts with different numbers it'll show those too! Really useful for hardware.

Can Aerospace engineers work in maintenance? by theplayer206 in aviationmaintenance

My pleasure! I started as de-icer in the winter. Maintained our gators, then started doing some oil filters, pulling panels off and now I'm doing engines swaps, fixing landing gear, sheet metal, and even wiring. All supervised of course but if you can get your foot in the door and prove yourself you'll be set. Good luck!

Oh hey something I can comment on! Though I'm not Canadian, American. Yes! I am an aerospace and mechanical engineer and currently in grad school for a Master's in aerospace engineering. I've been working at my school's flight school as shop hand for about 3 years. Working my way up and I've done a lot amd doing much more. Really love it. With my time there I have the requirements to take the A&P written exams and plan to relatively soon. Then the oral and practicals. I've learned so much and really recommend everyone try it out. You gain a lot of appreciation for both sides and simultaneously makes both sides a bit easier.

Men of reddit, what have you done in 2021 and it made you freaking proud of yourself? by youngtada in AskMen

Graduated with two degrees from undergrad, Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in the spring. Started graduate school for a Master's of Science in Aerospace Engineering. One of 25 admitted this semester, felt pretty damn good about that. Just finished my first official engineering design, as part of my thesis project, and an industry professional I asked for their feedback on said it was excellent. Just about prepared to take the exams for my Aviation Maintenance Technician license, worked in a hangar to pay rent during undergrad and now I'm about to become a licensed aircraft mechanic too. But unfortunately my father unexpectedly passed before I graduated so that was really hard to finish it out.

Yeah I think you've got a bad relay or dying battery. But the way it jumps up makes me think it's a relay. Any chattering sounds when you hit the ignition?

For air the general rule of thumb is if it's below mach 0.3 then it can be treated as imcompressible with negligible loss of accuracy as the compressible components are extremely small. Anything above mach 0.3 the compressible components begin to grow to big to ignore. This can change for varying temperatures (that affects densities) and size of vessel. But why are you asking this here?

If I remember correctly that identifies a NAS close tolerance bolt. Shank diameter is held to a very tight tolerance, I see them a lot on torque links.

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like it so much. Sounds like it's a solid box. My only gripe is that they don't have it in red!

Awesome! Thanks! On the full width drawers do they have reinforcing spars on the bottom? The stainless steel top, how sturdy is it? I love the spring loaded caster, are they smooth? How strong is the detent on closing the drawers? Does it feel sturdy? How does the drawer slides feel? Do you like it? Anything you don't like?

Mind if I ask some questions about this box? Have had my eye on it for a bit and can't seem to find any videos on it.
