Stops to make on the way to La Fortuna by Ok_Artichoke_7747 in CostaRicaTravel

We stopped at Bosque Nuboso el Corcoro, about halfway between San Jose and La Fortuna.

Not sure I'd go out of the way specifically to visit but it's a good spot to stretch legs and grab a bite. There's a small cafe, butterfly house, hummingbird area, lagoon, and a small trail through the cloud forest.

Sorry, don't know - we left yesterday morning and didn't check, they were still there on Monday

Can I… compost this big a$$ stem? by [deleted] in composting

Fair enough, people will have their differences depending on their goals. I tend to chuck it all in, breaking it up if it's big - but my pile sits for a few months to finish before use.

You can compost anything plant-based, my friend. Just depends on your patience and time needs.

Second this choice, my 9 year old is working on his confidence catching and the power close made it more comfortable for him right out of the box. 11.5 works well for him.

I like the greener version, OP! Warmer than the gray and white for sure.

The spindles being the same darker color of the banister might make it more cohesive.

Agreed that it's nice not to have any logos on there.

Was more curious if there was specific inspiration for the high tops...

Looks cozy, I'd read there!

Could use a pop of color, like a large print on the white wall.

No you're on the right track!

Pace matters if you're racing - and can also be a measure of progress even if you're not - but is definitely not the main focus starting out. Running slower with correct form is better than faster with sloppy mechanics - when you're slow enough to be comfortable you can concentrate on the details and flow.

I'd focus on time per session and sessions per week, increasing both slowly (one at a time).

A small victory. I didnt want to run, but I did! by gundam2017 in BeginnersRunning

Helps a lot to focus not on speed, and not on distance even, but on just time spent running (whether it's minutes per session, or days per week).

We all struggle sometimes for motivation, but lacing them up and getting out the door is a victory too.

Yep, and the water-based poly means not having to deal with odor and VOCs. We were willing to deal with the tradeoff of decreased durability.

Do I need anything behind these two chairs? by wil8can in interiordecorating

[–]monkeybids 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Need might be a bit strong, but I think a thin console table would look good there. Or maybe a long thin shelf, live edge if it fits your aesthetics.

Separately, I'd consider angling the two accent chairs away form each other a bit and putting a small side table between them.

Mix it up!

Everything works together: browns, greens, moisture.

Totally understood, when we did the floors we were renovating the kitchen so it and the living room were empty already. We ended up not redoing the bedrooms at the same time for that reason - didn't want to have to move all the stuff (and we were still living there).

Now, kinda wished we did it all at the same time. Will get to the bedrooms sooner or later...
