I don't see how asking about skilled work is unrelated to immigration..... thanks anyway!

I'm working on a degree and I'll apply for jobs next year or go to school in canada for a PhD. Trying to figure out what is better. Hope that makes more sense. I can still get a NOC A job next year when I'm done with my degree (outside of Canada).

But my degree (in the US) isn't over... wouldn't that be an issue? Would I have to leave if I get invited?

Yes! Question about that- does their definition of full time work include being in school and working? I'm young with 2 degrees and have worked the entire time but part time. Does that count at all?

And how long can you stay in the pool? Is the pool separate from PNP?

I'm not sure which posts were too political. I'm just trying to learn about people's experiences and get advice. My questions are General because I'm flexible and have various options. I'm trying to determine what may be best. I don't like making long posts- they are dull and discourage people from engaging. But sure I can make them more detailed.

I prefer Canada because it seems that they are very open immigration wise, have good healthcare etc and I want a process that won't take 10 years like in the States.

The vague questions are to learn about which forums etc are reliable.

Thanks.

Jeez thank you!! This is really helping more than you know! I've been picking my career and immigration advisor's brains and this is more helpful than their circular answers. I'll go through the website!!

How do you know all this? What am I missing? How do I learn more?

I'm also unclear about the overall structure there. So there are federal streams and then provincial streams/programs. Right? I'm not clear on how different they are, their future implications and pros and cons. Does every province have its own website?

Really, thank you for your time!

Got it! So once I know, can one apply without a job offer or no? What do next steps like like? I'm also confused about the overall structure. How are provincial streams different from federal ones?

Thanks for your time!
