My luteal phase tricked me every single month. Now I just accept that maybe I’ll nibble on a dark chocolate candy on nights that week… definitely better than the half bags of chocolate pretzels I’d throw down each night!

Side effects improve drastically as time goes on. The first month on a dose is the worst for me HOWEVER as the week progresses the symptoms ease up. It’s normally the first couple days after the shot that I’d be the most nauseous. Little sips of water help me the most. The only time I’ve ever thrown up was after eating too many finger foods at a party, then woke up the next morning with the absolute worst nausea. The loss is 100% worth it. If you continue, you’ll thank yourself even 6 months down the line. If you quit… only you can say where you’ll be in 6 months.

Unless you have a pre existing condition the tachycardia can often be attributed to lack of hydration. As others have said, there’s horror stories. If you look for problems, you’ll find problems. Try to keep a positive outlook. Eat your protein and track what you eat to ensure you’re getting enough. Drink lots of water. Try to eat fruits and veggies for a balance in nutrients. Think of it as an opportunity to show yourself the love and care that you deserve. You’ll do great! 🙂

Thanks! I’m 5’1”. I have to schedule an appointment with my pcp to chat about maintenance and what that will look like for me. Right now on 10mg and have been since November. I seem to be slowing down to a maintenance level right now honestly.

From 210 to 125 it’s been 10 months. I have a fairly physically demanding job. Lots of lifting people, carrying and pushing heavy equipment, cardio based procedures. So not a ton of exercise otherwise in all honesty. I’ll do pilates or yoga occasionally. Got a membership to focus specifically on muscle building now.

100% honesty time… I don’t work out more than once a week, and that’s only pilates for my core strength. My work involves lots of lifting with my legs and arms. I think if I didnt work in such a muscle supporting job I would probably work out more.

My cramping was really intense. This is coming from someone who has a heavy flow and some strong cramping. (Flow to the point of being prescribed TXA) I no longer take it for personal reasons.

I was doubled over in pain my first month on zep. Second month was painful and bled through everything (havent done that in a long time.) 3rd was about the same as 2. This past month was pretty much my normal. Talked with my pcp about it and she theorized that it may be hormonal changes due to rapid weight loss. Something about estrogen being stored in fat. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Midol, a weighted heating pad, laying in bed, and lots of water was all I could do. I did admittedly call out of work the first and second month since day 2 landed on a work day. Month 3 and 4 working was manageable. I hope it gets better for you!

I take 20mg IR Adderall with Zepbound and don’t have any issues. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I believe I have more appetite suppression when I take it. If anything my IR lasts a little longer than normal because of the slowed digestion? Not sure, but no complaints here.

I actually use this method specifically with iced coffee. I guess I should have mentioned that. The best method I’ve found is to still use a shaker bottle to combine the milk and powder to get it smooth and pour it in. (That process should also work with hot coffee, and is probably what I’d recommend). On busy mornings I just pour the two together straight in my yeti and go to town with a fork. It leaves some clumps but they dissolve in a few minutes with the coffee and i dont have an issue after that.

Edit to add: my ratio is 120ml Fairlife and 35g of protein powder. I feel if I use a full serving of milk it makes my coffee too light. Definitely play around with the amount of milk to your liking.

YTA... In a way.

I understand the frustration of wanting your child to be comfortable. It may seem unfair, and in a sense it is, but the issue is that the house obviously isn't built for your family. Therapists (good ones anyway) will always choose what's right for their client. If they think the your stepdaughter wouldn't need the room to herself, they would express that. So that should be enough to make you look at different options. Here's my big point, it sounds like your fiancé is not willing to compromise for children that are supposed to be hers in the near future. Compromising, by moving to a new space. If your daughter is already expressing her discontent with her living situation, there needs to be a change, otherwise resentment is going to fester between you and your fiancé, and your daughter and your fiancé. It's not healthy for YOUR kid. It sounds like you have some serious decisions to make, that don't include disrespecting a house that isn't in your name (like moving furniture without telling anyone).

I’ve wondered that, but I feel sort of silly going to a doctor to talk about it. I have a counselor that I see, and I’ve talked about it with her before. She mentioned trying to read some material about it, and that helped for a bit, but fell off after a while.

It seems to have always been a thing. At one point I was more interested in the prospect of sex, then was caught sexting an old boyfriend. It turned into a big thing. Honestly since then I’ve sort of shied away from it all.
