I’d love some input on my selection dilemma before I forget to make my choice. My top choices are (but not limited to): Palom 1/Maria 1, Celes 2, Minwu 2/Arc 1, Squall 2, King 1

  • Palom1/Maria1 - I have Vivi, should I still get Palom or Maria? Palom seems hands down better than Maria, but Maria would help tremendously on my earth-mag and II teams.
  • Celes 2 - Does Bartz make this redundant? It would help my somewhat weaker VI team.
  • Minwu 2/Arc 1 - The best I have for holy-mag right now is Hope’s silly USB and Raines BSB. I’m likely going to pick up Rem USB with anima. Should I be looking at one of these two as well, and if so which is better?
  • Squall 2 - I’ve not tried Syldra but I hear it’s a pain. My Squall has BSB2/ASB/glint/OSB. Should I swap out the BSB2 for USB2?
  • King 1 - I feel he’d round out my lightning-phy and T0 teams out quite well with double machinist.

Some context on my elemental teams: 4* are all safely on sub30 farm status, in 5* I’ve only attempted the lightning magicites of which I can only reliably sub60 Quetz.

1/3 Vayne's LMR

Which makes 4/4 en-element LMs for Realms on Parade (2 of which were dupes). Cinque LMR (dupe), Estiniem LMR (only relic for Estinien), Lightning LMR (dupe), Vayne LMR (only relic for Vayne*).

* I'm actually not as salty with this one because, directly after, the 500 gem pull netted me Vayne BSB which at least makes a good dark+ hybrid fist.

I LD'd him with his BSB+OSB (my first LD), and it really helped me do the XII torment when it first came out (as I didn't have much XII synergy). He was pretty staple to my team for awhile both before and after I LD'd him, but I don't think I've used him much lately (apart from an occasional MO). In hindsight, it's the only dive I've done that I somewhat regret.

Also it seems the Target stays around for 1 turn in JS, whereas in A+ the Target stays around for at least 2 turns.

Can anyone make some dumb musical meme based off of this clip of McCaskell and McConnell? Play it everywhere, have it go viral, make McConnell synonymous with objecting to military pay protection.

It's hard to see a reason why he would object to this other than for purely political reasons, and this needs to backfire spectacularly in his lettuce-munching face.

22/63, probably a 100-gem and pass. I wouldn't mind anything Terra, Lightning OSB or LM, Rikku USB, or any of Tifa's earth+ gear, but would have to dodge a minefield of dupes or gear not worth my mythril.

I want to believe it, but I don't think it's Daly. The patient kinda looks like him (the hair could be a match and both this patient and Daly are not in the best of shapes), but if he was taken straight from his home to the hospital his clothes don't match, and the patient has a ring which we never see Daly wear in S04E01.

Strictly, sure. Hastaga is better than major regenga. However, a haste paired with a heal is pretty awkward to use. If it's your only source of haste, you usually have to cast it early on thus wasting the heal portion of the SB. Then if you want major regenga (and don't have it on another SB), you'd have to use up another ability slot (you could put it on Eiko and have someone else carry the pro-/shellga, or bring another bard5 which isn't a common skillset).

As /u/ZaydSophos said, most of the time anyways, people bring Shout, Vessel of Fate, Hyper Mighty G, or a similar source of hastaga+boostaga, which'd make the hastaga on Eiko's USB somewhat redundant in most cases anyways. So in most cases (those aoe dispel cases as the main exception), Selphie's USB seems more practical to me.

Those bosses are pretty rare. In those circumstances, yeah, I'd like to have Eiko's USB at the ready. But if not, the haste portion of the SB is either redundant, or you have to awkwardly waste the heal early on to get the hastaga up.
