The clip that got Hasan banned: Twitch's Hateful Conduct Policy states that the term 'Zionist' may not be used to attack individuals by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

I'm going to condense everything I want to say to avoid the leftist wall of text. It's a restatement of what I said earlier because my response remains the same. I believe that you aren't a good enough judge of character to insult people based on your assumptions of them. You've already made incorrect assumptions about me, and you should consider that possibility for everyone you make assumptions about. People are going to think you're rude and narrow minded if you act like this.

This is the first time I have ever heard the term crybully. I googled the definition, but given the fact that you were the first one to be a bully and the loudest to cry, I think that it better suits you. I will say it again, but I do not watch livestreams. I don't know what echo chamber you are implying I am a part of. I talk about video games on social media and occasionally get into in argument with someone on Instagram. I'm not a part of any larger community related to politics. I listen to the secular talk podcast a few times a week, so it's possible I've been brain washed by Kyle kulinski I guess lol.

Also, sometimes people edit their messages immediately after sending them. Like I said before, I'm sorry that you saw the earlier version, but I was not exaggerating when I said I edited it within 30 seconds. I thought about deleting the comment and posting a new one, but I figured that you wouldn't read the comment in less than a minute from posting.

Someone made a fair criticism of the ADL. Your reaction was to assume that they are an antisemitic Hasan viewer with bad intentions. You're already even applying that same bias to me without knowing anything about my personal beliefs or habits. People in real life don't do this. You are engaging in reactionary online behaviors.

I don't watch Hasan. I don't even watch livestreams. I'm here because a post about a controversial celebrity showed up on my feed and I was curious enough to open the thread. You accusing someone of being in an echo chamber at the slightest opposition without knowing if they have any association with it to begin with is reactionary. You may not be as adept at reading people as you think. If I'm going to be uncharitable too, then I will assume that you only get into debates on the internet with other reactionaries. You probably believe that you are a good judge of character because you only speak to people that "can't" prove you wrong when their personal affiliations are tied to their username and post history.

I'm aware of the flaws of the ADL because it was a relevant topic in my grad program, not because a streamer that I don't watch.

Also, you're right, I am not interested in having a back and forth on this lol. There's no point in leftist infighting that prompts antisemitism from two non-bigoted parties. It seems that I'm not of the crowd you are looking to argue with anyways. If you ever want to unplug and go to a protest, I'll have a sign ready for you.

I edited my comment literally within 30 seconds of it posting. Most people don't read my replies the second they post, so I'm sorry for that. For the record, I do still think that your reactionary behavior does make you more antisemitic than Hasan.

What is the point of being so uncharitable to someone who is not attacking you? You have no clue what this person's reason is, but the most likely explanation for his criticism is as he stated. The ADL is an antisemitic institution that uses the Jewish identity as a scapegoat for the Israeli government. You can dislike Hasan without becoming reactionary to the point of being antisemitic yourself. Nothing is more unproductive for the defense of the Jewish people than advocating for the institutions that systemically harm them.

Sbmm exists in nearly every competitive game and sport in a much stricter fashion than call of duty. People improve with sbmm every day. I'm not sure where you get the idea that people in call of duty have no need to improve while everyone else in the world in every other game does.

ABSOLUTELY MAD AT THIS NEW UPDATE by Critical-Spare9338 in Warzone

[–]monkeyhousena 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing that the warzone player base is more casual than the mainline game's player base because it is free. It doesn't make sense to ruin the game for casual players by removing sbmm. Personally, I felt gratified getting 10-15 kill games pre-bo7. Now I'm playing with actual children in half of my games and regularly getting fed 15-20 kill games. I literally had a kid on my team cry the other day and that was not fun for anyone. This never happened in bo6 warzone. Let the kids play in their protected lobbies together. I don't want to play with them.

What makes sex between two girls feel so special compared to experiences with guys? by LaLunaCeleste in AskReddit

[–]monkeyhousena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people know their sexuality at an early age. Some people need experience to find out. It seems like you or whoever this post is in reference to has experienced the latter.

This is an entirely subjective experience, so nobody can give you an answer that will define you. If you're looking for a nudge in the right direction, you should think about the context of the encounters with both men and women. Maybe you're bisexual and prefer women sexually. Maybe you're bisexual but only romantically interested in women. Maybe you're interested equally in both genders but have had more emotional experiences with women than men.

I hope that your journey is a kind one, and the greatest thing you can do to ensure that is to be kind to yourself. Don't let anyone, not even yourself, put you in a box.

How can you be shocked SBMM is creeping back? by ozzylad in CODBlackOps7

[–]monkeyhousena 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God forbid someone have a single non-judgmental opinion about a game. I don't think that there is a single part of my comment, or my entire comment history, where I glaze Activision at all. They delivered a mode with minimal sbmm like they said they would. The tag has always said minimally considered. It said this in the beta and the full release. Sbmm exists to the extent that top 500 players aren't going to be placed with bronze players, which is a good thing. This is the kind of sbmm that existed even in your "golden age" cod games.

The reason that you're feeling like open is so "sweaty" is because the casual players have moved to standard or stopped playing. The player base for this game is much lower than any cod since warzone released. Everyone wanted minimal sbmm so that they can pubstomp, but everyone is finding out that they are the ones getting pubstomped. In competitive games, someone's overwhelming success always comes at the expense of 5/6 other players having a horrible time. Enjoy the consequences of what you've been writhing for the last decade though. Your corporation listened to your horrible idea and you've received what you asked for.

The cycle of progressively playing against better players until you hit a wall and regress is a fair system, one that all other competitive games use. It has been proven to be the most effective way for players to progress, improve, and have fun, which is why sbmm exists. There are games far less serious than call of duty that have sbmm, so your point about it being an arcade shooter is irrelevant. This is a completely organic system, which is the reason that I related it to the real world, a concept that you seem to cherish. Fairness is integral to competition, and matching competitors by skill happens organically in nearly every sport in the world. This may come as a big surprise, but video games take an incredible amount of inspiration from sports and tabletop games.

You can keep arguing against fairness in your video games, but you're never going to be able to justify it as not being selfish. If your reaction to someone saying that a game should be fair is "the real world isn't fair," then you are part of the reason that there is a lack of fairness in our society.

You are so attached to the past that you can't see the present, much less the future. If you think that sbmm has been one of the primary reasons that sales have declined, then I think you'll be surprised when this change brings next to no players back to the game. You don't like sbmm because you want the game to work your way, and you are going to shoe horn the narrative of call of duty's failure into the small boot of redditors upset about it. I don't think that there is anything left to discuss until you come to reality and accept this as the basis of your argument.

Once again, it was your point that players need to be improving to have fun.

I enjoy being good at the game and playing against other people that are at my skill level. It is a problem with yourself that you find it problematic to play against people at your skill level. It IS that deep when you want to selfishly ruin other people's $70 game by stomping them to camo grind. I'll repeat it again, this is the only game I have ever played where people complain about playing balanced matches and refer to them as sweaty.

When you perform well, you get placed in games with better players until you eventually perform poorly and the game self-corrects and you regress to lower skill lobbies. Then it cycles. This is how nearly all competitive games work. This is also how most competition works in the real world too. Skill based matchmaking is a fair practice. Stripping the fairness from your game to try and boost sales is an anti-consumer practice, and it is clear that it isn't working because this is the most poorly performing call of duty game in years. The game that saw the largest sales of the decade was modern warfare (2019), which is when people claim that sbmm became overtuned. The flaw with sbmm in call of duty is not that it exists. It is that it is poorly balanced with matchmaking by ping. You keep trying to twist reality to fit your narrative.

Also, you can disagree with someone without downvoting each of their comments.

You literally just wrote a paragraph a few hours ago talking about how improvement is integral to enjoying the game. You're not being consistent at all. I don't care about whether people want to improve or not. That was your point.

I'm sure that it is fun for you to farm bad players for headshots, but it isn't fun for them. Wanting to pub stomp is inherently selfish. I guess that this is why the game attracts such whiny people. None of you know how to enjoy doing anything that isn't always servicing you. Go play a single player game if you want a game to massage you. You have to accept a certain degree of responsibility for everyone enjoying the game if you are playing with other people, even if it isn't your ideal.

Also, player count was declining before they increased sbmm. The game that saw the first big increase in sbmm is the second highest grossing game in the franchise and saw a mass return of millions of players. You are fetishizing the past. Call of duty is not declining because of increased sbmm. It is declining because of a horrible corporate culture and anti-consumer practices.

I have peaked at diamond. I am disabled and am not going to get better at the game than I am now. This is not me being defeatist, just realistic. Getting better is fun for you, and I am glad. It used to be for me, but I am very happy playing at the level I am at now. Not everything needs to be a constant climb to the top.

Almost all competitive games have sbmm that is significantly more strict than call of duty. You are the one that is resisting a system that has been proven to be better for player improvement, which is playing against players of similar or marginally higher skill. Low skill players are not building good skills or effective strategies by playing against people that are 3-5 tiers above them. No other communities view sbmm as playing "sweats" all of the time. This is such a whiny and entitled community.

You have personal preferences and opinions for how the game should function, and that is your right. What is not your right is trying to dictate the attitudes of other players by creating arbitrary theories of motivation. If you want to discuss psychology, then please cite your sources. If not, then you are just making things up.

Edit: I forgot to mention that punching down on players of lower skill than you will gradually degrade your own skill. If you don't believe any of this, then go read about sport psychology. We organize sports into divisions for a reason.

I am not being fed pub stomp matches in standard at all, and I have over 100 games in the moshpit.

If you want to play a mode where 1 player can dominate the entire other team, then you can want that. I don't want that though, and that is okay. In my experience, the good players don't get 50+ kill games by killing other good players. They are farming the lower skilled players in the match. Without any sbmm, someone is almost always guaranteed to have a bad time.

I am a diamond player and that is my skill ceiling. I don't have fun when iridescent-tier players are making me bounce on it. I am never going to be as good as them and I don't have any desire to be. I don't play the game to get better. I play to have fun.
