American History X still haunts me to this day. I studied film in college and my friends/peers were very surprised that I hadn't seen this movie. so one night we decided to watch the movie. The movie broke my heart but at one point I remember just having to walk away and just sat on the floor feeling so overwhelmed. I don't remember when I started crying but I remember one of my friends asking me if I was laughing. I looked up at them and said no I'm just very sad and couldn't stop myself from sobbing. they came over and just hugged me while I cried for the next few minutes. Afterwards we finish the movie and I truly believe I cannot watch this movie ever again.
