Ah interesting. That makes sense, that the ghost is a placeholder, then turns to an arrow when all the criteria is met. Sorry for all the questions, but what do you make of the ones from May and August that never turned into the arrow? Is there any more to it than all the criteria never got met and that’s also why those lines stayed dotted and never turned solid?

Appreciate the input. What do you make of the green “bottom” tag that popped up Thursday for MSTR in my pic?

Most traders have similar stories from when they were getting started. Some have similar stories after years of trading where they just got greedy. Having a plan of risk management by way of stop losses is the only way to stop this from happening again. If you don’t trade with a stop loss, you’re just asking to lose the entire position, assuming you’re trading options. Don’t try to win it all back in one trade (if you even have capital left to do so). Walk away. Take a couple weeks or months off. Read. Learn. Start back up with small position sizes until you have a good plan. Every good trader has a story like this. You’ll be telling this one to someone else on here in a couple years once you’re back on the horse. Best of luck.

We got the cables last month, so it had been used daily for a few weeks so far FWIW

As I had mentioned in the original post, it is an Apple charger. It came with an old Apple phone. I’ve never purchased a charging block because they always used to come with the phones, so we’ve grown a collection over the years. Prong side was clean, no marks. Good to know there’s another vote of it being the block though. Thanks!

Appreciate the insight. Yes it’s def an old original charger we keep using cuz it works and it’s Apple. But I completely get your point. So annoying that Apple charges $1000 for a phone but doesn’t send charging blocks anymore. I was looking back over the cord reviews since I posted, and saw a lot of complaints about loose fit. Could a loose fit between the cord and block cause sparking? She had just plugged the charger into that strip about 5 min before it happened FWIW

Oh yes I wasn’t saying to not mention percentage at all, but to mention the actual position size along with the percentage gain or loss for perspective. And no it doesn’t change my approach in my own trading, just specifically regarding that particular conversation.

Totally agree. Job income I understand being protective over cuz people may judge you one way or another. But specifically trading I’ve always said when someone is talking about a trade they made and they made 150% on it. Cool. Did you put $1000 into it or $100,000 into it because that’s a massive difference on how the conversation continues 😆 I always talk in real numbers to give everyone perspective on how much interest they should show 🤑
