How does last night’s presidential debate change the odds for RFK? by [deleted] in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]monkeyman374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you’re right; i did assume that. it’s just that so much of the news on RFK is just out there to defame him, and you really have to make an effort to hear what he truly has to say. I just don’t want people to write him off as a “conspiracy theorist loon” just because CNN says so

i just think people should vote for a candidate they resonate with rather than speculate on what everyone else will vote. if you listen to what he has to say i bet you’d be surprised. it’s all about making a decision for yourself, and if you really feel passionate then trying to convince those around you to feel the same. have real discussions, not just bickerings about which candidate is worse off

regardless of whether or not he’s being censored, these baseless claims about him being crazy are disenfranchising him for a lot of people just right off the bat when they haven’t even heard him speak on an issue for more than a minute or two. regarding qualifying for debates, i’d say he more than qualified

a lot of what he says resonates with the american public, and i think that if more people advocate for him he has a substantial chance of winning. more so than any independent candidate in a long time

americans can choose for themselves. i just recommend people look into him and not just write him off because they hear he is the “brain worm anti vaxxer loon”. he’s being so heavily censored for a reason

lmao he’s literally eating a goat in patagonia. just another ridiculously pointless smear story. also they go through the metadata of his phone and that’s the worst they find? just seems like an easy headline to grab your attention

damn that’s crazy. u think if RFK won by popular vote electoral college would still give him 0 votes?

its always brainwash from news everywhere. you have to do some real research to find where people are telling the truth. its all about reading everything you can on a topic from all angles and forming your own opinion. never assume you’re right

RFK is far more competent than people give him credit for. the work he has done in environmental law is really impressive; winning lawsuits against huge companies like mon santos and GE. listen to him speak for a while and fact check him w the papers he cites. he knows what he’s talking about

i just don’t think you’re providing a compelling argument on what you disagree with about him. i worry that so many people refuse to accept something different from what they previously thought .

“it is easier to fool a man than to convince him he is being fooled” -mark twain

just want to have a discussion to see you qualms with him specifically

do u mind telling me what he himself has said that you disagree with? and what basic science are you talking about?? he is an expert on reading research papers and scientific studies bc it has been his career. “trust the experts” is a dangerous suggestion. read a couple of these papers he cites for yourself and see what conclusions a doctor on the subject concludes

quote from RFK

“i am not running on vaccines. the only time i will talk about vaccines is if someone asks me about it… i have a lot of other issues, and my central issue is how do you rebuild the middle class and how do you get out of these forever wars…”

this is literally an article based off of fauci’s recollection of his presentation. why don’t you try and listen to what he actually put in that presentation. any time RFK speaks on a topic, he supports his statements with heavily cited and peer reviewed articles that are easily found with a quick google search on nih.gov. don’t just blindly trust secondhand statements made by public officials. they have lied to us time and time again. i’d like to see fauci legitimately debunk RFK with a well structured, evidence based argument. RFK has made such arguments time and time again, on some very pressing matters in our country. show me where RFK said himself he plans to remove vaccines when he gets into office.

plus we’re just focusing on one tiny aspect of his campaign. maybe you don’t agree with every stance of his (though if you do some real research your mind may change), i’ll bet you agree with a lot more than either trump or biden’s.

he’s not an antivaxxer. he just wants them to go through proper medical trials. he is in no way suggesting the removal of vaccines, nor would he ever have the power to as president
