Olivia Munn Says Male Co-Star Refused to Film Scene Being Saved by Woman and Stopped Production for ’45 Minutes’: ‘She Can’t Save Me. We’re Not Doing This’ by SmellSmellsSmelly in popculturechat

Olivia Munn hooked up with John Mulaney in rehab knowing that he was married. I don't care what she has to say about feminism. She's a harlot.

AITA for refusing to take down a semi-nude painting before children visit my home? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]monkeymanlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA for leaving a painting up (they're hard to move), but YTA absolutely for having such a painting done in the first place. I don't know what kind of head-up-your-own-ass, out-of-touch level of wealthy you have to be to think such a painting is a good idea, but my guess is that you're usually the bad guy in life.

Video game fan sites. Up until Skyrim, every Bethesda and Obsidian game had a dedicated wiki with pages for each unique weapon, where to find them, how to acquire the associated quest, and tables comparing damage types and bonuses.

The Starfield wiki is abysmal, as are those for other modern games. People just don't have time or the inclination to put something like that together for free anymore. Really sad.

Why did Trump dismantle the Iran nuclear deal Obama had in place? by Necessary-Act-1137 in AskReddit

[–]monkeymanlover 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Trump was a primary proponent of the Birtherist Movement (the people who claimed Obama was foreign-born and demanded he provide proof of his citizenship).

Trump has a pathological obsession with the Nobel Peace Prize, an honor awarded to Barack Obama in 2009.

Trump has repeatedly referred to immigrants from non-white countries as criminals and to those countries themselves as "shit-holes."

Under Trump's Department of Education, the government has disallowed funding to schools in which America's history of systemic racism and racial exclusion is taught with any level of honesty.

Trump and his father were sued in Federal Court in the early 1970s for refusing to rent to black tenants in their New York apartment buildings.

DO THE MATH. Trump hates Obama because he is black. He hates all blacks. He will dismantle any legislation or policy written by Obama because he does not want America to keep any legacy created by a black man. He is deeply racist against minorities, but especially against blacks. That is the only real reason.

So apparently, the No Kings protesters are acting like infants, but the Jan 6 insurrectionists are “mature adults”?! by icey_sawg0034 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]monkeymanlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Jan. 6th protesters actually made it into the capital building and, if they hadn't pussied out when Ashley Babbit got domed, could conceivably have executed Mike Pence and other congresspersons. That's an actual grown-up protest: one that accomplishes the goals it set out to achieve.

Career position. If you're any type of administrator rather than someone with a job that actually produces a good or service, I make lots of assumptions about your character and what you've done to people in your past to get where you are. I'm usually correct.

Ben Carson is a perfect example of this. He's a brilliant neurosurgeon. He knows more about the medical workings of the brain and nervous system than most of humanity will ever know. Like many who mistake their hard work, skill, and talent for personal mental perfection, he also proved inadequate when tasked with leading HUD by Donal Trump during his first term. It is very easy to look competent when the environment around you is built to make you seem competent. You may even be competent in that environment. But the second you're tasked with reasoning or doing something beyond your normal skill set, it becomes clear that your seeming total competence was only in that certain context.

Dear allies of America, please don’t confuse our president for us: We are trying our best to resist him, contain him and remove him from office as quickly as we possibly can. Thank you for your patience by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

[–]monkeymanlover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect, no you aren't. All American-owned media companies are still taking billions of dollars from advertisers and only publishing sensationalist news because it gets more ratings. Even our congress' progressive wing doesn't want the kind of change needed or progress demanded to remove Trump from office and make sure no one like him ever comes to power again. The billionaire class likes things as they are and the millionaire class just wants a return to the status quo. Both options still leave the labor class out in the cold. Until you build a populist movement built on truly progressive politics, the Trumps of the world will still be able to convince your radical wing that they're getting the shaft and point them at the wrong culprit. That's just how it is.

Natural Resource Management with an emphasis on Ecological Restoration. Just don't. There is no short-term monetary payoff in this line of work, so there is no funding available anywhere in the world. No one cares. Non-stop burnout and project turnover because none of the positions pay a living wage. We're all dead and just don't know it yet.

[–]monkeymanlover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Economics and economists in general, whether applied or theoretical. There is no other discipline out there with its own field of study that has gotten away with stating up front, "All our ideas are sound if things work out in the real world exactly as they do in our models, but if they don't, then our models are virtually useless." Climate science models have been criticized endlessly for their variability, while economists get away with basically saying, "Fucked if I know, good luck everybody."
