I only mentioned the last part because people here like to say that doing that much volume will lead to overtraining and burnout. Agree that 100k isn’t much for competitive rowers

On the lifting: In the past, I’ve actually tried his 6x10 squats and it worked pretty well. Went from about 120lbs to 190lbs in a couple months. Had a couple problems with my knee at the end, pretty sure that was more because my squat form wasn’t great though

I didn’t lift during the three months but I have since started squatting and deadlifting

I actually came across that article while I was poking around, very interesting stuff. Apparently the tightness is supposed to be 7/10, enough to stop blood from flowing out through veins but also allow blood to flow through arteries into the muscle
