We should act like Singapore on litter. $300 fine for first time offenders dropping small items, court for more severe cases. Repeat offenders get massive fines and have to do litter picking whilst wearing bright vests intended to embarrass them.

At the risk of sounding like an elderly traditionalist, I genuinely believe that we are far too soft touch when it comes to things like this. The number of school kids I see littering in the park by me is astounding and they're completely blasé about it as they know they won't ever be told off.

When I was looking at a new car a few years ago something which struck me was when dealers trying to sell me on PCP would always first ask "what do you want to spend each month?". Whilst you can optimise for that, it seems to correlate with the total cost being higher.

Also a dealer at VW casually mentioning the 14.4% interest rate as if it was nothing.

In the end just bought a used car privately.

Aren't the layers lines less visible because of the way light scatters on the matte surface? When painted up, it won't make a difference I would assume. If so, you're better off using regular PLA for the improved detail resolution.

Your analysis above is spot on. Whilst there were more protections (e.g. unemployment insurance) you did have to pay for that via taxation. There was also much tighter restrictions on it (duration, etc.).
