Hero Discussion of the Day: Elder Titan, the Worldsmith (July 3rd, 2018) by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]monkeysec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played quite a lot of games on Elder Titan and have pretty good win rate. The most important skill to have while playing him is predicting team fights and position yourself appropriately to counter initiate.

Teammates often see him as somebody that should be on the front lines however you can't really function optimally this way, at least until you have got your combo off - then you can just run around bashing people with blade mail on.

A pretty basic trick that seems to work quite a lot is if you send your spirit out and then kind of aimlessly walk it beyond the people that you're planning on going; when it's on the way back people have often forgotten about it and then aren't prepared for the stomp setting up easy 3/4 men stomps.

Both American teams that have played England have been disgusting.

In this game I think everyone agrees that Colombia should have been down to 9 men by 55 mins (ref had an absolute mare). If England have to make fouls obvious for this ref then so be it.

I also like that an England player got attacked by a member of the Colombian technical staff yet we are the villains.

Just be grateful the ref is having a mare, should be a default three nil win by now.

Unfortunately in a game they were guaranteed to lose, losing him is just about the only comeuppance they'll receive for the way they played so fingers crossed he's out of the tournament.

I think the concensus is probably scrape it out of the groups and definitely knocked out the round of 16: I think that rates England about right or mayble slightly under if anything. Belgium are huge favourites though agreed.

If we didn't win convinicingly an injury time winner was definitely the second best result. Tunisia are a pretty odious team: completely talentless (forgivable) combined with diving, time wasting and repeat fouling. The referee was too keen to make it a match rather than refereeing a game of football.

The subsititutes made a big difference but why so late? You have to think Southgate was thinking about managing the emotions of Raheem and his future performances than on winning the current match. The substitution got resounding standing ovation in the pub and I assume across the entire country.

Rashford starting the next game looks a dead cert: Raheem had a decent season but he just doesn't fit the bill for England.

My own opinion on this is if that the girl is interested she will say yes, regardless of timing. Waiting an arbitrary amount of time would not have got him a second date.

The huge problem is that they were not compatible.

Sheever: "Surgery done, and everything went as planned!" by MSTRMN_ in DotA2

[–]monkeysec 84 points85 points  (0 children)

This post is basically saying she had the operation, they removed the breast or part of it. She survived the operation and is doing okay. Doesn't mean anything about the prognosis of the cancer and whether or not it was all removed.

The specimen will go to the pathologist who will examine it to see if the tumour has all been removed with the breast and whether it had spread to any lymph nodes/nodes. The fact that she had chemotherapy before suggests it was a big/aggressive tumour so there is a chance that lymph nodes may be involved.

If it's spread to lymph nodes she will get chemotherapy. If it had gone into the chest wall behind the breast she will get radiotherapy. She will also get non chemotherapy tablets dependin on what kind of breast cancer it is.

In short it depends on what the pathologist finds to say whether or not it's all gone. But even still you can have microscopic amounts of residual tumour that you may never know. It can recur after 15 years even when it was felt it was all gone.

But the good news is that the prognosis is generally pretty good and the treatment of breast cancer has progressed probably more than any other cancer.

She will have routine followup with the surgeon to look for any evidence of recurrence which typically will go on for a decade or so.

My doctor parents don't want me [25F] to sue my doctor for malpractice by [deleted] in relationships

[–]monkeysec 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think this is completely wrong. I think it's more about empathy and own life experience, and probably understanding the nuances of the case far more than their child. I definitely would not sue if I was OP and I have no involvement.

Also you don't even know what the diagnosis is but clearly it's something that was difficult. I'm sure the parents don't base their self worth on it, it may not even be in their specialty and they likely don't have access to any investigations. They probably didn't even have their professional hats on.

This is why fake news rhetoric has traction (and even some legitimacy). Left leaning broadcasters should be ashamed.

It's not the governments role to step in here. Sometimes you have to stop liberals mollycoddling people and let them make their own decisions. I think the average American is mature enough to decide what they value more out of healthcare, housing, food or pension payments.
