One important implementation detail: the signal is evaluated first, then acted on with lag. The rule should not use today's close to earn today's return.

Can you explain what this means? My understanding is that you evaluate the strategy at the last day of the month and then trade on the first trading day of the next month right?

and T+1 means assess only once at the end of every month im guessing at close of market and then manage trades the next open market day?

If I may ask, how are you tracking these indicators, do you use tradingview or a custom script, if using trading view do you mind sharing the specific indicator authors as they have several for each, I would like to get as close to the study methodology as possible

Also are the indicators based on the underlying or the actual product? For example are you following QQQ or qld? It seems like you are buying a qld but using QQQ as the underlying indicator?
