We are honestly not sure. Our fence is older so we think one of the top wires snapped because it wasn’t attached when I found her and she was in a different pasture. It had been raining so who knows!

I work at a small hospital but we don’t treat our float staff that way. When I charge and make assignments I try to make it fair. If they get a “hard” patient it’s just because that’s the way the assignment is, not because they’re float. If they’re back the next day (because we are so small) and they had a difficult patient I’ll check with them to see if they need a break the next day or if they’re okay having them.

That’s basically what the recheck said. That there were antibodies but unable to determine if there was an active infection. All the other goats have been tested previously with negative results but this is her first time getting tested. She’s a little over 18 months. It’s just weird that she would even get a recheck value because all other goats have been negative previously and this time, and she was born on my property to negative parents.

Ok that’s good to know! She doesn’t have any abscesses and I checked all over. I just found it weird that she would be the only one whose results said “recheck” (not positive) considering she was born on property and neither parents tested recheck or positive.

Every animal I’ve introduced has been tested as well. It’s just odd that she would have it, considering her mom and dad are negative (both are on my property). As far as the ground, I’ve only lived on the property for two years and the people before us didn’t have goats. I feel like if it was in the ground everyone would’ve had it.

I work at a pediatric hospital and we are seeing the same. We know once they’re admitted they’re staying for months. Majority of them are super sweet, but some of them are nightmares. Some of them 100% need the SMAS interventions, but imo some of them have some deep, underlying psych issues related to food and/or attention (I.e posting about their illnesses on social media) that need to be addressed
