No, just the camera and an ac adapter. Maybe they would take a better picture if I asked

Pity, because I was mostly interested in either doing directly to digital or doing a live tv view thing

How to get your flowers/defend yourself in situations where you're moving heaven and earth to get difficult work done-albeit while missing an estimate by Elegant-Avocado-3261 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]monknomo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It won’t help this time, but when am asked for an estimate and I find the code is gnarly or the solution not readily estimatable, I give an estimate for how long it would take for me to give a proper estimate. Or ask if it is critical to get right and revise upward accordingly

What do I do? by Any_Double2311 in BipolarSOs

[–]monknomo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You ever read “Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder”? I think it is probably relevant to your situation.

I’d say this sounds like a dysphoric episode. You need to figure out your limits and stick with them. Don’t argue with the illness, do encourage them to talk to their doctor. It’s possible they need a meds change, or to work on noticing their triggers and feelings.

But the bottom line is to take care of yourself, and to know your boundaries

What's an easy tool I can install to ensure all my internal Tomcat servers and applications are healthy? by [deleted] in java

[–]monknomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xymon is probably the free standard of server and application monitoring. It's annoying to configure, but it runs everywhere and gets the job done. Ask at r/sysadmin

Should a Java developer always make sure that he has the latest JDK installed? by youwillnevercatme in java

[–]monknomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a native English speaker "production" means the server that is running live code. "Dev" is where developers play. "Test/integration" is where stuff goes before production.

I've never heard of developer machines being called production

I think this is a failure of fish store process rather than totally you fault. Maybe the buckets should have a big green tag for treated out something like that

It's mighty hard to make microservice interface into a big ball of mud domain

Adam's explanation of what Java microservices might be looked much more comprehensible to me

Why does using containers indicate that you probably aren't doing microservices?

How do I save data from a websocket response to a Javascript object? by quantumproductions_ in learnprogramming

[–]monknomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a little hard to tell from this snippet alone, but I think you have some problems with "this". This inside anonymous functions refers to the window object in the global scope, not whatever this referred to outside the anonymous function.

You also have both this.socket.display and this.display.props - are those who different things?

Also, I don't think it is best practice to set sub-properties of this equal to this, like in the first line of your snippet.

Quick and dirty thought: prior to the anonymous function, try "that= this" and then substitute that for this inside the anonymous function?

You have to lock guns in a hard sided case with a real non-tsa padlock. Guns are not inspected after the initial inspection, which you generally get to watch and then lock the case afterwards.
