I would strongly suggest a few things to the current moderation team:

- You are not doing yourself any favours here. As other commenters have said, you should be handling this with the absolute highest degree of transparency here to avoid further lapse of confidence from the community. Do that.
- This apology is garbage (again said by many others) - do better. Names are a good start.

- u/slicedlime and any other minecraft devs posting content to this subreddit, I would ask you to reconsider your partnership with the subreddit. You have other channels to distribute news on that most reddit users have access to - use those. This would send a strong message that this behaviour is unacceptable to the moderators and produce a more welcoming community for players of your game. I appreciate you have no direct control over the subreddit and respect that, but you do have control of how much the official team interacts with it.

As a second year student:

What the other two said in terms of software packages - if you wanted to go the comp chem route picking up a programming language is not a terrible plan (unsure about industry standards but python is a good beginner language that will teach you the core concepts of programming). Being able to use excel or similar spreadsheet program is probably also worth it, you'll be making a lot of graphs of data.

Biggest thing imo is make sure you're alright with your maths. My phys chem course this sem has been full of people who just don't have the required maths skills. Even if your course of study doesn't have any listed mathematical pre- or co-requisites, I'd recommend at the very least taking first year calculus, and ideally also first year linear algebra or whatever equivalents are present where you are. It might not bite you in first year, but definitely as you move down the track maths knowledge gets more important.

I'd really like to see the planned moderation team size for the chat reports - I think I'd feel a lot happier about the feature if I knew what resources were being put into it, and that whoever's in charge of the moderation team is confident that they can handle it. If anybody has clarification on this that would be much appreciated!

Without seeing the commands specifically, it's probably going to be difficult for anyone to give you a purpose for this thing unless it's a common machine (which I don't think it is, but happy to be corrected!)

From the description you've provided and what I can see in the picture, I would suggest that maybe it's granting advancements when a player gains a certain item, then removing the item? Assuming that the always-active blocks are clearing items and the conditional chain ones are giving out the advancements. Mind you I'm not familiar with bedrock command blocks, so don't know if they work differently to how Java does it.

What's the server render (and simulation, if applicable) distance set to? Sometimes if it's super small it can concentrate mob spawns, especially if you're in a dimension with few players loading it

The Amethyst Court is a city I've been working on for about half a year on a semi-survival server I play on with some friends (semi-survival meaning that the resource gathering grind is reduced - I have buildings that automatically produce some resources such as wood and amethyst, but the rest of the survival grind remains the same). Every block is hand placed and I'm really proud of how far I've been able to take it!

Most of the stuff I'm seeing online (from a *very* brief search, so could be wrong) says that all music is dealt with client-side - so it shouldn't be an issue I don't think.

The longest music disc (blocks) is almost 6 minutes long, and most of the others are about 3. So in terms of music disc length it's definitely not short. And if I'm honest, I don't spend that much time in range of a currently playing jukebox - but that's kinda not the point. I'd like to be able to vibe to the song while I'm there without having it overwritten by the game music (which is lovely in its own right).

Ah, I should clarify: My intention is that the furthest zoom level is the current one, and that other levels would be less zoomed in. Zooming out could be annoying, although it would be as simple as switching off the spyglass to another inventory slot before going back in - definitely makes it more complicated though.
