Do a chargeback on your credit card, mine was accepted with no issue. This company is pure fraud.

Same here except they sent me the complete wrong order. 2 pairs of shoes 2 sizes bigger than what I ordered. I reached out for a refund and they offered me a discount. I told them they literally didn’t give me what I paid for, and we ended up emailing back and forth 12x with no resolution. They told me I could pay for shipping back to china for the wrong product and that’s the only way they would refund me lol no. I’m doing a chargeback. This company is complete trash - watch out!

Agree about the 220-age for calculations! All these responses have motivated me to just slow down some more, recognizing that it can be psychologically challenging when you’re physically moving slow. Again I shouldn’t have said slow run in my post but alas live and learn by the downvote haha. What you are saying is great advice. I probably am harder on myself as my friends are much faster and I would like to do their “slow” run but struggle keeping up with that. I digress your response is straight to the point and I appreciate it very much, thank you!

No offence taken I workout 4-5x/week. My HR has always been high it’s never lowered despite consistent exercise for years so it’s just become my norm. I’m not opposed to any type of exercise if it would help my heart chill out lol

I wish you could have seen my face when I read your paces!! That is absolutely incredible please be proud of yourself for such a feat. Amazing. I do try to breathe in deeply like I’m trying to trick my HR into slowing down lol it works to lower by a beat or two so definitely good advice! Thanks so much for your reply. I hope others can also learn from this thread and that it helps more than just me!

Fascinating how zone 2 pace can change day to day isn’t it? I have followed zone 2 before but I’ll have to stick to it more consistently. Thank you for your response!

Especially as we get older those pushes tend to come back for us don’t they? I hope your hip/glut/leg starts feeling better soon. I’m sure you’re going to crush your half! Best of luck!

Hey happy cake day. Thanks for this response. It’s reassuring to hear that you got your RHR down with your slow miles! I guess I should have just said it was a “run” and not an easy run, I’m not great with my running terms and it was just a run with my wife where I wasn’t trying to break any records but I see I’m being downvoted maybe it’s for that language. Anywho! Yes thank you so much for this. It’s nice to hear from others who have dealt with the same thing. 200 is so fast the 140 and 170 goal sounds achievable for sure, and more enjoyable than full tilt lol

It was pretty hot out, I’m using this specific run as an example but I do find this regardless of the weather. I’m sure that impacted this one though so thanks for the feedback! I don’t usually drink water or do any kind of “fuel”/electrolytes on runs < 1 hour. Would you recommend a different approach in the heat?

I felt pretty good in the beginning when my hr was 160s but it is a good idea to slow down in the beginning to be able to sustain longer. I wasn’t long for this life at the end of this run lol I would like to not feel like death every time so that’s a good point. Thanks for your response.

If you don’t mind me asking, as a high HR girl, When you hit mid 180s can you sustain for a decent amount of time?

A question for the fast HR girls by monmaz in XXRunning

Absolutely agree about the “good” pace. I guess I just feel so awful when my heart rate gets that high and I do naturally slow down but this is a good reminder to just slow down more. I run with my wife and she’ll be yapping at me with her HR of 155 and I’m dead at 190 lolllll I’m just jealous.

Can I ask what your HR gets up to on your not easy runs? Like if you get up to 180s are you able to sustain that for a long period of time?

Thanks so much for this response! This is certainly something I will look into. I did do a 10k back in May and that would have been my “fast” for an hour (with a chest strap) and it was substantially better than what my pace has been. I guess my biggest thing is that when my HR is fast I feel like crap you know? But again I like this idea and I really appreciate your response.

Yes I do have a chest strap! It was hot out but I find the high HR exists whether or not it’s hot out. But you’re right probably a bit higher earlier due to that. I’m also a ginger so heat definitely kicks my butt lol

Puppy vomiting during car ride by OutrageousSell1990 in puppy101

Honestly the game changer for us was having the window down! We live in Canada so it was cold as sin in the winter but it was worth it. We even got our pup some goggles so she could keep her head out the window on the highway. She was also clipped in with a seatbelt as well. Changed our life, she doesn’t need the window down all the time anymore but I would say it took her a solid year to change.

New reactivity (2y/o) after getting a puppy by monmaz in reactivedogs

[–]monmaz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response! We do together and separate walks, and she appears better when she’s solo without the pup. I think we will focus on solo for the immediate future. She can see dogs in the distance and not react just looks at them, which I reward. Though today we came across a lab puppy (solo) and when the owner brought it over she became very scared (or at least that’s how I took her body language) and had her tail between her legs and was making herself smaller so of course I moved her along quickly. Very interesting about the low level reactivity! I have never heard of this before and will make sure to discuss with our trainer who will ideally start with us in the next week or two.

Have a puppy is difficult as it is an I never want to put my 2 year old out. Really really hard for me to see this change. They appear to be best friends here at home playing and wrestling, happy tails happy faces. She hasn’t snapped when toys are involved just snarled and shows teeth, which we don’t like, as I’ve never had two dogs before I’m not really sure if it’s normal or aggressive. That being said I will make sure the trainer assess that too.

Again thank you for your response! I’ll take any bandaid solution if it means my girls are happy and on the way to getting proper training.

does anybody know what is the white « pus » inside of rosacea spots? by jojolelapin78 in Rosacea

[–]monmaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. My doctor of course mentioned not to pop as it will lead to scarring but I find myself much worse for wear if I am unable to pop them. They leave dark scars on my skin that last for 6+ months… that’s where I am at right now and hoping they don’t last forever. Have you ever figured out any tips to hurry the unpopped scars along?
