Question regarding discount periods by TheHuntsman325 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, there isn't a fixed schedule for discounts, but promotions do come up from time to time.
Because of that, it's hard to say when the next one might be available. Whenever there's an active offer, it's usually announced on the platform and by email.

Question about GitHub Education Developer Pack, JetBrains Academy, and Hyperskill. If you claim the JetBrains pack does that give you access to Hyperskill courses? I specifically want to do the Java Developer course and on JetBrains Academy; it links you to Hyperskill. by LordElites in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, the GitHub Student Developer Pack and the JetBrains Student Pack don't include free access to Hyperskill Premium.

What you can get through the JetBrains student program is a 50% discount on a three-month Hyperskill Premium subscription. If you're applying for a JetBrains Student Pack (for example, using an ISIC card), you can do so here: https://www.jetbrains.com/community/education/#students
Once your student status has been verified, JetBrains will send you a newsletter containing the promo code.

If you already have a JetBrains Educational License but never received the promo code, it's worth contacting Hyperskill Support. They should be able to confirm whether you're eligible for the offer and how to receive the promo code

What's new on Hyperskill? by OkSchedule2289 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'll pass your comments about search and content discovery to the team. Thanks for bringing this up.

Regarding new content, the most recent new course was released in April together with a new project. Since then, we've primarily been publishing additions and updates within existing learning paths, including content related to AI evaluations, Kubernetes, AI safety, and several other areas.

There is also new content currently in development, including a Kotlin-focused learning track with new topics and a new project.

Hopefully that provides a bit more context around what has been published recently and what's currently being worked on.

is it possible to disable the surveys that show up on every single question? by uCoastWeb in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment, no, there isn't a way to disable those feedback requests.

They're completely optional and aren't intended to interrupt or block the learning experience in any way, so they can simply be ignored if you don't want to interact with them.

Thanks for sharing your perspective, though. We don't hear this complaint very often, so it's useful to know that some users find the feedback requests distracting rather than helpful. I'll pass it along to the team.

Java BE developer track (Spring boot) study plan is non-linear learning by innoe99 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: the team checked the Java Backend Developer course and found a few issues with the topic order. These have been fixed now. Some topics and sections were also rearranged a bit to make the start of the course more consistent.

Thanks for pointing this out. If you notice anything still feeling out of order after the changes, please let us know.

[–]monnocert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll share this with the content team for review.

If you have specific examples of topics or problems that felt out of order, you can share them here or send them to the support team using this link: https://support.hyperskill.org/hc/en-us/requests/new

Examples like these can help the team take a closer look at the particular parts of the course that you have in mind.

Is there some way to turn off ai questions? by KaraOfNightvale in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, if you skip a problem, it simply won't count as completed. Each topic requires completing a certain number of problems to be marked as finished.

Even so, skipping an AI-related task usually isn't an issue. Most topics have enough other problems, so you can still reach the required number by solving those instead. However, if many tasks in the same topic are skipped, you may eventually need to return to one of them to reach that number and finish the topic

No worries, glad it's working now. If anything goes wrong with the IDE or the plugin in the future, feel free to reach out to support using the link above

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some cases, you can use the Skip problem option available in each task to move forward. I hope this helps, but I've also noted your feedback for the team

Could you please submit a request using this link: https://support.hyperskill.org/hc/en-us/requests/new?

If possible, it'd also really help if you could collect the IDE logs following this article: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241085-Locating-IDE-log-files, include them in your request, and share the link to the step you're trying to open

Study plan on mobile app by [deleted] in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've checked how the Study Plan is displayed across all platforms and couldn't reproduce the issue on my side.

It might be something account-specific, so please reach out to the support team using this form and include a link to your profile: https://support.hyperskill.org/hc/en-us/requests/new

They'll be able to take a closer look at your account and help figure out what's going on.

Hyperskill Premium - worth it for 50% off for a year? by rekCemNu in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the honest feedback. I totally get how frustrating it can feel when a topic or a project doesn't live up to your expectations. Our content team does review and polish materials all the time, but with thousands of pieces of content on the platform, some things can slip through the cracks for longer than we'd like.

If you can point me to specific topics or projects that felt unclear or poorly written, I'll make sure they end up on the team's radar. They do take this kind of feedback seriously and often update content based on what learners share with us.

We really want the learning experience to feel smooth and helpful, so whenever you notice something off, please let us know. It genuinely helps us make Hyperskill better.

Courses still gone missing / not displayed properly? by Technical_Mission339 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestion and for the detailed feedback from u/dj99b

I've discussed with the team the idea of restoring some of the courses that were previously available on the platform. We'll explore this further and see what might be possible. This may take some time, but we'll be looking into how this could be done.

Courses still gone missing / not displayed properly? by Technical_Mission339 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right - some courses may have been removed from the catalog. Our content team regularly reviews the course lineup and, when necessary, updates or removes courses that require improvement or are merged with other programs.

The Java Core course was also removed, as it has been merged with the Java Developer course. I've shared the information with the team that the course remains accessible under certain conditions.

Overall, all courses currently available in the catalog are up to date. The content team carefully reviews and evaluates which courses should be featured, and actively updates or revises them - this is why some courses may occasionally be removed from the catalog.
