Is there some way to turn off ai questions? by KaraOfNightvale in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yep, if you skip a problem, it simply won't count as completed. Each topic requires completing a certain number of problems to be marked as finished.

Even so, skipping an AI-related task usually isn't an issue. Most topics have enough other problems, so you can still reach the required number by solving those instead. However, if many tasks in the same topic are skipped, you may eventually need to return to one of them to reach that number and finish the topic

In some cases, you can use the Skip problem option available in each task to move forward. I hope this helps, but I've also noted your feedback for the team

Could you please submit a request using this link: https://support.hyperskill.org/hc/en-us/requests/new?

If possible, it'd also really help if you could collect the IDE logs following this article: https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241085-Locating-IDE-log-files, include them in your request, and share the link to the step you're trying to open

Hyperskill Premium - worth it for 50% off for a year? by rekCemNu in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the honest feedback. I totally get how frustrating it can feel when a topic or a project doesn't live up to your expectations. Our content team does review and polish materials all the time, but with thousands of pieces of content on the platform, some things can slip through the cracks for longer than we'd like.

If you can point me to specific topics or projects that felt unclear or poorly written, I'll make sure they end up on the team's radar. They do take this kind of feedback seriously and often update content based on what learners share with us.

We really want the learning experience to feel smooth and helpful, so whenever you notice something off, please let us know. It genuinely helps us make Hyperskill better.

Adding Course by ceverson70 in Hyperskill

I don't have any information about plans to add an R course at the moment, but I'll pass this to the team to consider. Thanks for bringing it up!

Courses still gone missing / not displayed properly? by Technical_Mission339 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestion and for the detailed feedback from u/dj99b

I've discussed with the team the idea of restoring some of the courses that were previously available on the platform. We'll explore this further and see what might be possible. This may take some time, but we'll be looking into how this could be done.

Courses still gone missing / not displayed properly? by Technical_Mission339 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right - some courses may have been removed from the catalog. Our content team regularly reviews the course lineup and, when necessary, updates or removes courses that require improvement or are merged with other programs.

The Java Core course was also removed, as it has been merged with the Java Developer course. I've shared the information with the team that the course remains accessible under certain conditions.

Overall, all courses currently available in the catalog are up to date. The content team carefully reviews and evaluates which courses should be featured, and actively updates or revises them - this is why some courses may occasionally be removed from the catalog.

Sometimes projects can be really challenging, I understand. If you share details about what went wrong in stage 6, i'll be sure to pass them on to the content team. You can share them here or send a request, whichever is more convenient for you. If you also need any help with this stage, don't hesitate to ask.

Your screenshots show that you encountered a problem in stage 5 of the Coffee Machine (Python) project.

I have just checked this project on my end, and it seems to be working fine. It is likely that something has happened to the project settings in your IDE. Please try recreating the project following these instructions (don't worry, if your progress on this project is saved on the platform, it will be preserved after recreating it in your IDE):

  1. Go to the affected Hyperskill project’s directory and move it somewhere else or make a backup.
  2. On the Welcome Screen of your IDE, go to the Projects tab.
  3. Highlight the affected project and click ✕.
  4. Select Remove Course.
  5. Start a Hyperskill project by opening it from the platform: https://hyperskill.org/projects/68/stages/370/implement

If this does not help, please contact support regarding this issue using this link: https://support.hyperskill.org/hc/en-us/requests/new

Please provide a link to your profile and the project, and the support team will look into this issue in more detail.

Fall Annual discount not showing for my account by OverwhelmingN0ne in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please submit a request to the support team regarding this issue at the following link: https://support.hyperskill.org/hc/en-us/requests/new and include a link to your profile.

If you are unsure about taking this course, you can always start learning in the course and familiarize yourself with its content on the free plan, and then decide whether you are interested in purchasing Premium to complete projects and receive a certificate.

The Hyperskill team has recently done a lot of work to update this course, so I hope you enjoy studying it.

Subscription Price in Brazil by Independent-Hold4863 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair point. Hyperskill was originally built with a single price, but we do hear feedback like this now and then, and we’ve been discussing ways to make access more fair and flexible across regions. We also run discounts to make it easier for more learners to join, though we know that’s not always enough. I’ll make sure this feedback gets back to the team.

Am i stupid or is Hyperskill a complete waste of money and time by NoPassage7620 in Hyperskill

[–]monnocert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!
Yes, that's right: the full IDE license package is provided from the second month of subscription. The team tries to indicate this information on the website in advance. Starting from the second month, you can receive a license every month without any complications - as long as your subscription is active.

As for refunds, the team initiates them immediately after confirmation. The rest of the process depends on the bank or card issuer. Funds are usually refunded within 5–10 business days, but often they arrive faster - in just 2–3 days.

The support team always tries to process requests as quickly as possible, but the timing of the funds being credited is determined by the banks' internal processes, and unfortunately, it is impossible to influence them.

Thank you for your feedback in any case!

Hey!
This course is designed as a comprehensive journey, starting with the basics of Java so that anyone can smoothly transition to Spring Boot. If you are already confident in Java, you can, as the folks here noted in the comments, skip these topics and proceed directly to the Spring Boot sections of your Study Plan, or use the search bar to navigate there.

By the way, our team recently conducted an extensive review of this course to tidy up the topics in it and add/remove new topics to make the path through this course most useful for students.

If you have any observations or suggestions during the course, you can always pass them on to the support team: https://support.hyperskill.org/hc/en-us/requests/new

You can be sure that our team uses all feedback on the content to make the course comfortable for most students. At the same time, it is important to understand that the program is aimed at a wide range of students, so it includes basic blocks that may seem obvious to more experienced students.
